Seems to me one of the options should be a full cash refund, especially if they cannot give you at least as good a stateroom on the other cruise.

well had only paid the deposit so far so transferred to the alternative sailing but regretting now as not sure really want to do the other itinerary, and am sure the ship going to be totally bunged when they combine two cruises into one. when u are a wheelchair user that experience doesnt turn out to be a cruise but rather a crush experience imho.

WHat options did they give you and was a full refund offered?

refund of deposit offered and suggested other inferior cruise at different time, which did book unwillingly, but no great compensation even after complaining. no same cabin available, as already booked. so wanted me to pay the same for lesser cabin.

  3. its more the destinations. ports are quite good in general for disabled, but we had our own private tours booked mostly. the only resort that was difficult was lisbon, the streets are cobbled at best, few up and down pavement ramps and narrow streets. most of the rest were good depending on how much you want to do. Madeira is probably best by tour guide as quite hilly but beautiful.

.most of the canaries are upgrading their ports for mega ships but still lots to do. leave plenty of time to get back on board as it does take longer with their traffic to get back and we did cut it fine once. any other questions do let me know.

  4. We have just booked to go to the Canaries at the end of January (took advantage of the misfortune of the people who had their 50 days on Oriana cancelled). Last time we went I used a manual wheelchair and hubby pushed. This time I will be taking a powerchair so it will be interesting to see the difference.

hi how did you find the wheelchair access in canaries as going in october and wheelchair reliant. could you advise further thanks.

  5. going on celebrity silhouette in october but want advise about disabled excursions as the prices from celebrity seem excessive. can anyone advise if any of the ports in the azores or med/canaries, lanzarote, tenerife, grand canaria, and lisbon are usable for self guided trips by a wheelchair user. celebrities tours are like 300d per head for disabled. totally excessive and unaffordable. any tips or links to private tours or advice be appreciated. thanks.
