A short taxi ride from the cruise terminal, 40 yard walk across the sand and you are knee deep in the surf on Eagle Beach.

Spending this week dreaming of Jamaica.  Tried several excursions from Montego bay, all fun days.  Now working my way through Resorts for a Day.  This stop is Grand Palladium which is grand.  The trip from the ship is a little long (40 minutes) but not too bad (excited going, tired coming back).  This is a large resort and expect a lot of walking to see all the beaches. 

Next stop, the turquoise waters off La Romana, DR

As the year comes to an end, so does my trip around the eastern Caribbean.  I have enjoyed looking through my pics, sharing a few and mainly keeping Twangster's Impossible Virtual Cruise trip report in limbo.  Happy Holidays from Grand Turk.

Relaxation is always your own point of view.  This is looking straight out from the beach near Jack's Shack Beach bar and grill.  Peace and quiet just steps from sand volleyball as long as you don't look up the beach to your left.

A new week, a new island.   Welcome to Barbados.

The Caribbean side is tranquil and the port area rather industrial as expected.  There are some pretty beaches over here.

While Twangster works out his space/time/star class issues, I am headed back to Castries to look for a boat to Barbados.  St Lucia gets a lot of rain and I seem to take a lot of pictures in precipitation.

I think I have found my winter home if I ever hit the lottery.

People ask me if I scuba or snorkel.   Nope, I bob.  And for the next few days, I'll be  floating to the right of that buoy line in the Anse Piton Marine Reserve.

On the boat ride down the coast from Castries, we passed this nice looking spot.

I believe this is Anse Chastanet Resort, or at least the resort beach.  The rest is hiding in the trees.

Walked up from Turner's Beach to find some food.  Found Jacqui Os Beach House.  Its a nice spot to wait until Twangster is back online with the Royal Transporter.

btw, you take great pics.   I am always forgetting to wipe the water drops off my camera before I click.   Example below of Reggae Beach Bar and Grill here at Cockleshell Bay...

The trip down here made me hungry and imo Reggae has one of the best sandwiches in the Lesser Antilles.

Great.  I have walked down to Cockleshell Beach.  Here's a pic across The Narrows to Nevis while I wait.

Did I miss the boat?  I'm sitting here in St. Kitts looking south toward Nevis.   Where are you twangster?

Does the North Star feel like a Wonkavator?  Our Alaska cruise was pushed a year.   Boo for that but hooray! for your trip.  Looking at my calendar and searching for the closest Royal Transporter.
