Please do come back and let us know how this went! I am looking to sail from Genoa next April (2019) and I am trying to decide whether to fly into Milan or Nice. Either way, I will fly in a couple of days ahead so interested to know about your stay in Nice as well as your transfer to Genoa.

For me it was cheaper flying to Nice instead of Genoa or Milan!!! And I want to see Nice and Monaco!! [emoji7]

Why does everyone seem to insist on using the MSC site??? All I hear about is how often people are having problems with the site. Use a internet booking engine...There are a bunch of good ones out there who are excellent. Very easy to navigate...gives you pricing for each experience...shows you available cabins and provides additional incentives (i.e. OBC)..... I realize people may have special needs....but I always book my cruise online through one of these agencies. Very easy and great support (when/if you need it)...When I was waiting for a YC cabin to open up....thats how I found one on the cruise week I selected....Took me about 10 days of checking...but one finally opened up.

What is your best site to book?

We arrive at the airport of Nice and stay one night in Nice to visite Nice and Monaco. The Nice-ville station is 800 meter from our hotel( 4 min car, 11 minutes walk).

There is 2 train without transfer . Thellō ec147... is it a good train?

expect car rental expensive ( considering that the french car will be retruned to italy furthermore personally i do not find the motorway between nice and genoa to be "scenic" at all

doubt that there is a direct bus service between nice and genoa

feel train is the best option also from a scenic point of view becuase it runs along the coast passing through villages

Thanks, we arrive by plane to Nice and for «*drive*» we will need to rent a car and i’m sure that will be the best way but I think is very expensive
