I did liberty last April with GF. We dressed nice, heels
Sparkles. But we didn’t get crazy. It’s a lovely ship and I’m celebrating my 70th next May 5. Celebrating May 4 as were debarked
May 5.
Can’t wait as we know where everything is. At our age once you know where it is you don’t have to feel yourself along. Lol

Believe VO has always been no kids, also sadly no casino. More importantly VO includes free beer & wine with lunch and dinner, free shore excursion in every port, free wifi, free laundry and free specialty restaurants. We're looking forward to our first sailing with them this October.
My GF is sailing early Dec. The cost
Of the cruise runs approx 5k per person. So it’s not really free it’s added on to the fare.

1. Does my bathing suit need a cover up on board ship when away from the pool? What you describe sound more modest than a lot ofpassengers. You will see bikinis in the buffet with a relatively sheercover-up.
2. I understand we get some kind of card - a Sea Pass. This is for what exactly? How are we supposed to keep track of them? Can we put them in a secure pocket in our swimsuits and wear them into the pool or hot tub? Do I have to carry a purse to dinner to have it with me (not a purse person)? Can we leave them on a chair while swimming on board or at Coco Cay? Or do we need to pack lanyards and have them with us at ALL times? Lanyards are popular, the shops will punch a hole toclip them on, or insert them in a case. Don't take them into the hot tub or pool, treat them like a credit card. Don't leave them out in plain sight. You need itat dinner time to check in for your reservation and if you get any extras (likealcohol). You SHOULD be able to leave it in a bag on Coco Cay... should. If your card gets damaged you can get it replaced at the main desk.
4. When we wake up, we need coffee. Immediately. There is no way I will be dressing or brushing hair or applying makeup BEFORE coffee. Therefore, I will not be wandering off to some coffee stand or dining area to get said coffee. What is the best way to acquire coffee in our cabin? The buffet in the morning sometimes resembles acollege dorm. Literally pajamas and robes on some, shorts and t-shirts onothers. Wear your most unkempt look with pride. If you're bringing it back tothe room, who cares? You're on VACATION!!! (Just don't forget your keycard andask for a tray if you need one)

Hello! We have done 4 cruises before and all of them have had ~2,000 people on them. We are thinking of going on the Liberty out of Galveston next summer and I'm wondering what it is like to be on a ship with ~3,500 people? Are there lots of lines to everything or are people spaced out okay? Thanks so much for your help!
Sailed her last April had no issues
Except the elevators got crowded
Rebooked for next April.

Liberty is our favorite ship of the ones we have sailed on. We've sailed on her twice out of Galveston and have another cruise booked on her for next May. We also like Lighthouse Parking. EZCruise is good too, but Lighthouse has covered parking and their shuttles seem to be more frequent.
We come in the day before shuttle down on Galveston shuttle and stay at the courtyard Marriott who has a shuttle to the ship.
We like April no humidity

I did liberty with a GF last April and had my birthday aboard. Rebooked for next April different ports.
Now that we know the ship
No more standing at the map.
Loved the crew. Food was great. Really enjoyed the adult pool.

With kids I think you’ll enjoy Royal. The liberty had lots to do. And I found Galveston a easy port.

Galveston express is online and they’re
Reservations is easy. They serve both airports both ways.

I know a lot of people love to post to Facebook while on a cruise....aren't you worried that it sends a HUGE notice telling everyone you know, "I am not home and won't be all week"? I like posting a few pictures from vacation, but my rule is I do it when I get back home. I don't let my kids post, either.
Even though I’m not home there’s
Somebody at my house petsitting

In a few weeks we will be traveling out of Galveston on Liberty of the Seas. This trip we will be bringing my in laws which will both need wheelchair assistance. They do not use a wheelchair at home but will need assistance with boarding.
My question is, do you tip the people assisting them, which I expect that you do. How much is normal? I have not had any experience at this so do not have a clue what guidelines to use.
We gave the attendant 5$. It’s a long
Haul from pick up through security
Up the ramp to the ship.

But what if cell phones or the internet didn't exist? You would still be a small business owner, correct? You would give someone back home an emergency number of the cruise line to call if something were to arise, wouldn't you?
I remember taking out first cruise to Alaska in the 90’s. My husband would
Find a phone booth at port to call office to check on things

Each to they’re own. I want the connection to home.
I also read my news online.
But next cruise next April I will probably have a kindle
Instead of physical books.
I couldn’t relax if I couldn’t be in touch.
But that’s just me.

We always prefer to be where the deck we are on and the decks above and below us are staterooms only with no public areas. Much quieter that way. You can easily see deck plans on several different websites. For example we chose deck 7 on Adventure of the Seas and booked deck 10 on Symphony.
Our TA put us mid ship deck 7 on Liberty it was perfect
