Yes your right OBC. Just what the TA told us. Wife ended up in the hospital and stayed 3 days, she doesn't even remember the ride there. The bad is we just turned diamond last year and this was our fourth cruise with the perks.  We will wait before we cancel as we will wait and see if we feel different about it later.

We booked a refundable cruise last month for next year. The first time we had done this as we always go with the lower rate. The TA talked us into doing this as we got more cruise credits and don't have to pay a deposit till Dec. We are talking now about cancelling as we just got off Liberty of the Seas with covid. At our age just not sure its worth it.

I enjoyed your review. Could you tell me what they have for breakfast in the crown lounge as we haven't done that yet.

What they call gratuities is their wage, they do not get paid extra out of the gratuities you pay. We have had some cabin stewards and waiters better than others but none bad. I just wonder if some of the people that take it off would be fine with not getting paid for their job because they didnt smile enough.

Just booked the Adventure last week so hope the pitch and roll is not a issue when we sail. How is the ship otherwise and would you book it agan.

Would the Crown Lounge have some snacks on embarkation day? We would like to avoid the WJ for a light lunch.

I know this is a little off topic but what can anyone tell me about Adventure of the Seas. Anyone on it recently?

We had a couple of cruises cancelled during covid. The first one we called the travel insurance company and they give us a voucher for our next cruise no problem.  The second one we had got Generali insurance. We called and they said to go online and fill out a form. Went online and it said to call. Called and they said to go online. After two weeks and the run around and many phone calls. We called and the guy said the same thing, my wife by this time let him have it. He give us a voucher number in lest than 5 minutes. If we were calling about a claim we felt like we would of got the same treatment.

We have a very hard time finding a handicap room, even on some cruises a year out. Because of both our health conditions. We hate to book more than 6 months out. They need to have more on the ships as a lot of the market is aging.

Can you use a diamond voucher for a milkshake.

We were on the Reflection last year for our 50th anniversary. My wife is in a wheelchair, it does not have big wheels and I sometimes had to turn it around and go backwards over a few of the strips where the floor changes. But not a real big deal, we would go on it again.

As some have said it is according to how long the cruise is. For a 7 da\y cruise I usually take 40 ones, 10 tens, 10 fives, and 10 twentys. That takes care of all tips and porters. I also take a few hundred extra in case.

We were on the Odyssey last year at 69. We do not do flow riders or bumper cars or climbing walls. We are all about shows and food now. The food was good, you just have to pick and choose. I am pushing my wife around now in a wheelchair but did not find it to long. I am sure we may of stopped and rested sometimes. I just hope we are cruising in our 80's .

We stay at the Best Western off of 84 and the Fairfield Inn in Dania. We can leave our car there and take a taxi to the port. They are okay and the rooms we have had were clean.

A lot of times they do not have the chocolate out. Just ask for it, me and my wife get some for snacking with cookies in our room.

Freedom for us not to big and not to small. We have been on all classes of ships and have never had a bad cruise. As we have got older its about the shows and food. So climbing walls and water slides and bumper cars are not for us.

My wife has said if we ever fall into some money we will book a GS at least once. A side note we was in Jamaica on a excursion at a planation in line for a 5 course meal when 2 women in front of us were talking. One said I wonder what all the poor people are doing today. I said we are right here behind you.

If you are not carrying your own luggage off they will leave tags in your room. There will be times for the number on your tags. If not early enough go to service desk and ask for earlier ones. They will hold you up if your bags are not ready.  They have the bags ready most of the time according to number. 

We are first time elite too. Can you get a cappuccino in the coffee lounge in a to go cup. 

Thanks for the info. I might do the surface lot since I am not crazy about having to deal with shuttles. The lesser of two evils.

Oh well, the last time I used a surface lot came back to a good dusting of sand on my car. Of course not as bad as getting the great parking at a motel in Daytona.  There was a reason for that,  pelicans on upper floor. Good thing for car washes.
