On our recent cruise the ship sailed after our safety briefing held at 7.45 pm. You will be able to get off. The city is easily accessible, either by transport, or walking or by a nearby lift. It is a great city to explore and the views are terrific. We had a flight time of 11.15 and were on buses to the airport by 7.30, for a somewhat crowded period of waiting.

Yes my wife and I would like to sail on the maiden voyage. Looking forward to seeing what dining and other options it can offer us. Just hope the cabins/suites do not get any smaller than Britannia.

The balconies on the side suites are abysmal in size in comparison with aft suites. You do not get loungers just two reclining chairs and a small coffee table/foot stool, therefore no dining on you suite balcony.

Arrive in Southampton port about midday and be on board by half past. The welcome on board is a snack lunch where you help yourself and are served a couple of House wines/sparkling Chardonnay. Senior tier loyalty members also attend the lunch. Suites for us have usually been ready around 1.30 pm, ie the time we have finished leisurely lunch snacks. If you want a full blown meal go to the buffet.

We are staying there in 10 days time. Booked the hotel through booking website as P and O had used their allocation. We have part sea view room. They arranged our flights via Air Malta for a supplementary charge, but that is from LGW!

B deck suites balconies on stern are enormous, especially the two corner wrap around ones.

If this was an issue last year I wonder why P and O failed to notify me until 4 weeks before departure? It’s not going to be of any real concern to us, more a question of why communication is poor.

Taking alcohol on board

What are rules for??? If you do not like P and O conditions then there are plenty of other cruise lines to go to. People disregard rules all the time and cause mayhem speeding, drink driving, avoiding taxes........,,,
