  1. My husband is not the only one out of 3000+ cruisers. I’m saying we have spent thousands and it’s taken us two years to pay this cruise off and it’s the one and only one I’m sure we will ever be able to take and if he needs to go outside before he comes to bed and smoke one then by god he will. And if security comes knocking at the door I’ll pay he 250. I’m sorry every non smoker in the world has issues with smokers. I have issues with drinkers. But you don’t hear me going and crying to anyone over them. I’m done with this thread. Have a good vacation to all!

  2. Lmao this is all hilarious. You have your opinions and I have mine. How about this we paid thousands for our two balcony cabins. I’ll happily accept the 250 fee for him smoking on the cabin before he comes to bed that night after he works 72 hours a week for 50 weeks out of the year in a hot warehouse on a forklift. Because I don’t see anything wrong with it. I for one don’t give two hoots how much noise you make. I’m 100 percent sure that my husband will not be the only rule breaker! And I’m sure it’ll go on for yeArs to come after we have come and gone from our balcony.

  3. Self entitlement to non smokers on this thread. How dare smokers smoke in this free America we live in! And how dare anyone disrespect him because he smokes or I for being around him and his kids that adore him! And oh btw last I checked hotel balconies were exactly like cruise cabins right next to each other hotel on the seas???? Sheesh!!!! Btw we don’t plan on spending all damn day on the balcony. But he should be allowed his evening smoke without having to tiptoe around pansies! Smh!

  4. See once again. You smokers, the smell, cancer, fires. It’s their life you have yours they have theirs. They want to go on vacation too and still be able to enjoy life too. My husband is the sole provider in this house. Husband to our three small children. We are paying thousands of dollars for our right to go on vacation just like you. So he should have every right to go into our balcony that we are paying a premium for. Outside in the air and smoke and enjoy the scenery. There should be smoking and non smoking cabins just like there are in hotels!

  5. I don’t understand why everyone has to get onto everyone who smokes. I’m a non smoker my hubby is a smoker. He doesn’t bother me with his smoke at all. We are going on our first cruise next year and it was soooo hard to convince him to go!!! This is such a bullying issue!! Ps. Hubby has been a lifelong smoker and hasn’t started one fire!

  6. TA won't book it because it doesn't accommodate 5 or because it is a "bad" cabin?

They can’t find it in their inventory. Said it says n/a. I’ve offered it as four people to book and I’ll book the other two elsewhere and still got the same response. I found pictures of it and it sure is big enough for at least 4 and there is a Pullman bed in the ceiling so that’s 5!!

  7. Now, I am concerned! We booked 13001 for Feb 2018 for 5 and were surprised when it only accommodated 4. Now, I'm not sure if 10002/3 hold 5.

When I booked 10002/3, they were bookable for 5 on the MSC web site. Then, I asked my travel agent to book it and he did, with no problem.

I just tried to get a travel agent do it and they said nope too.

On my Facebook group they said you felt the motion and heard the engines.

  8. I booked one for 5, but my cruise is not until 2019. So, I don't know if it really accommodates 5.

That’s when mine is to. I’m looking at oct 2019 and I’m getting nowhere trying to book it.

How did you get it done?

  9. On the Seaside, there are some interior Wellness category cabins that allegedly accommodate 5. I think 10003 and 10002 allow 5.

So I have called Msc. And they have to call me back with a quote for this cabin?

  10. besides the grand family suite. Is there any “secret” cabins. Interior or ocean view that holds 5? 2 adults and 3 kids and we don’t mind being cramped!

    Thanks in advance! :)

  11. Except that we're NOT doing the same thing.

Again, we book far in advance for long (and exceptional/unusual) itineraries on ships that are much smaller. In general, that means prices will only rise as selection decreases over time. So, booking early (often the week the itineraries are announced), makes sense. And, since we usually "book onboard," it means a price drop match guarantee up until the day of sailing.

However, on some giant mass market ship going to anywhere in the Caribbean for less than two weeks, there's always a decent chance that prices may decrease closer to sailing due to an over abundance of unfilled cabins. Of course, if you fly to/from the port, the added expense of buying close-in airfare may wipe out any associated cruise discount.

    I meant by obsessing.

This vacation is a huge deal for us. And I need the extra time to pay for it.

  12. I am currently booked for may 2019. I’m comfortable with that timeframe although I’m making myself crazy with research (how do you all do the wait!!!???)

Now there is a opportunity to book ncl for the $1 down on a 7 night dream itinerary for sept 29th 2019 (my bday!!). Has anyone ever booked that far in advance? Is it a stupid decision? And seriously how do you keep the anticipation at a min?

Thank you for all replies in advance!!!
