Apex has 8 more single IV cabins than Edge, these are 6136-6139 and 6224-6227. On Edge these were OV cabins. The deckplan shows these single cabins on Apex as being the same size as OV cabins were on Edge. It is possible that the cabin doors are inline with the other single IVs and that the deckplans hust haven't been updated. These 8 cabin will either be the same size or bigger than the other singles, so it's probably a no risk option to select one of these.

Also, the lack of storage space in the single IVs on Edge was a commonly reported issue. It's possible that this was one of the tweaks incorporated into Apex - but isn't sexy enough to merit reporting.

I have been wondering about this as well. I am booked in 6139 ES single infinite veranda. In the Apex deck plan it’s the same size (with balcony) as the PO ocean view. Would Celebrity just eliminate cabin square footage for the sake of cabin class uniformity???  Hope I get to find out  🙂

  2. Greetings all. I’m booked on the Apex 4/30/2022 Fort Lauderdale to Amsterdam, 14 days in a single infinite veranda on deck 6. This is a particularly small cabin approx 135 sq ft + 45 veranda.

I can book a panoramic ocean view for the same cost — obviously larger around 200 sq ft with sofa area, etc. (solo price).

Will I miss the opportunity for some fresh air? Or feel trapped in the ocean view?

I’m almost leaning toward the ocean view for maximum comfort for 14 days.

Would anyone care to offer opinions, insights etc. All appreciated.

    THANK YOU. Stay safe everyone.

  3. You're making the right choice IMO. The extra room space is a triangular space on the way to the deck, so not really "functional space". We've had both and I would select 7077 for this reason and the reasons already stated by others.

Thank you for your help!! Booked in 7077 and feel great about it. It’s a long time off but I’m really looking forward to all those sea days on the balcony.

  4. I just booked 7077 for a 17 day Hawaii cruise circle 3/2020. I haven't been in a signature suite before, however, I just sailed on the Eurodam in a Neptune 7048 and it was terrific. The SS is somewhat smaller without the Neptune Lounge access. We actually didn't use it much other than for coffee, etc. and it was across the hall. The Neptune and SS suites have the same appointments (TV) etc and are very comfortable. Book the Rotterdam deck if you can. There is less traffic there and the cabin stewards are assigned to suites there.

I think the SS is a good value and you quality for double sailing days on your mariner status. Hope any of this helps!

  5. Hi all - thanks for reading. I’m stressing about cabin choice March 2020,

17 days Hawaii. I’ve read 7079 has an angled balcony pros and cons and some extra room inside. My concern is a comment about this cabin being dark because of the orientation of the angled window and no straight on view of the water. I’m travelling with a friend so extra space would be nice. And, I don’t think I can spend 17 days in a dark cabin. Thinking about taking the reg 7077 signature suite. Any thoughts? Thanks for your input!!
