Bad news.  The 360 experience is no longer free for those booked in a suite after December 1, 2022.  It was an absolutely amazing experience that I highly recommend.

Appreciate the response. I’d certainly consider paying for it, but The phone reps confirmed that it is a complementary benefit for suite guests, do you have a link where it indicates that the suite comp was discontinued?

  2. Hello all,

first time princess cruiser here. I’m booked in a suite for a summer sailing and one of the benefits is the 360 specialty dining experience. I tried to book online but the app forces you to pay for it and doesn’t recognize the suite benefit. When I call to the ocean ready (I think that’s what it’s called?) department, they tell me it can only be booked onboard.

I am celebrating my birthday this trip and I don’t want to risk it being sold out/fully booked by the time we board. Anyone have experience with this? TIA

Possibly. But possibly not. It's hard to determine. It seems that it is based on embarkation port or disembarkation port or which countries you travel to or if you're in the EU or out of the EU or have the Free at Sea or don't have the Free at Sea.

For reference, on my cruise, leaving from Barcelona, stopping in Cartagena and the Azores, before finishing in NYC, we only paid taxes on beverages purchased while in US waters due to NYC taxes. There were signs around the ship stating only those withOUT a beverage package would pay taxes.

Good luck! You probably won't really know until you're onboard.

The trip is r/t from Barcelona, and we will have the beverage package. Thanks for the reply, hopefully the taxes won’t be too excessive if they do charge them

I think people are being a little harsh on OP here. She didn’t come in here demanding any particular outcome, but simply asked a question. As for the person who disembarked, I feel nothing but empathy for her. Unless you have been extremely seasick, you cannot understand the feeling. To have it be so bad that she was willing to get off of a trip that she presumably planned and looked forward to, early, and fly home, she must have been feeling pretty awful. While the cruise line doesn’t owe her anything I do hope that the OPs friend is able to get some refunds.

    Thank you!

in case anyone is curious for an update on this, she received a refund for $100 for the prepaid gratuities and an extra $100 courtesy adjustment for the unused spa package. She was happy with that and grateful to get anything back

  5. Update to avoid confusion

she did inquire about refunds and fees at guest services. She was told the gratuities would not be her responsibility for all days following disembarkation (at the time they answered they didn’t know we prepaid, so they later told us to just contact the main office), and she got money back from the internet package which she bought on board.

we were told to contact guest services about the gratuities and spa which were prepaid along with obviously the port fees and taxes. The information I received from ncl is that these refunds are done on a case by case basis

    No refunds.

And depending on the itinerary, may be a big fine for voluntarily disembarking and not completing the voyage.

There were no fines, no violation of the PVSA. She was cleared to leave by the ship authorities and by American CBP

    Please indicate three things

    Embarkation Port

    Debarkation Port

Port where passenger left the ship.

Then who did the passenger see to get permission to leave early  AND  what specific information did that person require?

    embarkation NYC

dismebark in St Thomas (we already had visited Bermuda and St. Maarten, so had called on Ports outside of the US)

the person went to guest services, informed them they intended to disembark, got sent up to the area where US Immigration was staging, had their information logged, and was given the all clear.

No.      NCL held up their part of the deal.  Your friend left of their own accord. NCL owes them nothing.

I understand what you’re saying but if she had no showed and never boarded, she’d have been refunded at least partially (port fees and gratuities). I don’t see the distinction between the two for the purposes of these fees

  9. One of the people in my group recently disembarked on day 5 of a 10 day Norwegian sailing. It was her first cruise and she couldn’t handle the seasickness.

what can we expect in terms of refunds for the following (all prepaid)

    gratuities

    Port fees and taxes

    spa thermal pass

    TIA

  10. On our 4/14 arrival back in San Juan the ship docked at 6 am, we had the earliest luggage tags (7:35 disembark).

We were at the airport by 8:05, and through security (after check in, checking bags, and the USDA check) by 8:30 to easily make our 10:30 flight.
