  1. Carnival has started referring to this as a midnight buffet rather than late night snacks. Those who remember actual midnight buffets like myself find that calling this a buffet super misleading but i am ok with the offering. Some nights I just want a taste of something, not alot. I finds the chicken is okayish but I like to go for the tortilla chips and pico, thats my jam and I don't have to wait in the long pizza line to get a little nosh.

  2. I don't think I have ever seen potato chips on carnival. I could be wrong but I don't think the shops have them nor any of the dining outlets. Late night snacks or as it was called on my last cruise  -the midnight buffet had tortilla chips but that's all I can recall

  3. Just had a recent experience looking for and finding a specific crew member. My sister and brother in law cruised on Panorama about three weeks before us. Brother in law came home and asked me to find a specific crew member and identify myself by a certain code word he had worked out with the crew member. When I found him and gave the code word it was big smiles and we were instant friends.

  4. Just wondering about peoples experience with the scratch off tickets available at the casinos. Anybody had any luck with those? I've never purchased any before but have been tempted. I see they generally also can be entered into a second chance draw. Any one had good luck with that as well?

  5. To fully check in you will need to supply info such as the identification you will use, like passport numbers etc, Also Emergency contact information, credit card or debit card info for setting up the onboard account. it will ask about flights before and after the cruise etc.

This can be done in stages and only partially done in one sitting if desired. usually the important thing is to grab an early check in time for embarkation day , the rest can be completed later.

  6. Just got off Freedom last week. I knew there had been changes, but I really missed the mushrooms as a topping on Guys Burgers. Did not realize how important this was to me.

Also, long standing issue is how slow the sauces are dispensed. I find that the squirt bottle of BBQ sauce is my go to sauce instead of dealing with the dispensers.

The fries aren't quite the same but I find this less of an issue than the lack of mushrooms. It is still the best burger on the seas but...

  7. We are going soon, I was wondering the same thing. I see that online 4 person carts can be rented for $100. I am hoping the price is the same for walk up. Also hoping some are available. I have been reticent to book in advance as if weather etc changes plans I didn't want to worry about any potential hassle to get a refund.

  8. I tend to agree that Hanauma is probably not worth the hassle anymore. We have loved going there for years but I think we are done with it...
