  1. Oh, tons of beach loungers all along the beach!  Those without reservations had a huge area right near the straw market with rows and rows of beach loungers on the beach.  The beach beds/cabanas were on a totally separate part of the island that we had to take a tram to get to.  But yes, it should be no problem for you to find a spot.

  2. We just did this on our Enchantment cruise in early April.  I bought day passes from bahamasdaypass.com and we took a taxi from the port.  It was super easy!  Once off the ship, you go through the main building there and turn to the right where there are folks with taxi signs and numerous taxis/vans waiting.  Just make sure it is at the taxi stand and not some random person off the street offering you a taxi.  Many folks from the cruise ship were also doing this with us.  It's a quick 5 min taxi ride across the bridge ($4 per person, US cash only) and we were dropped off right in front of Coral Towers (let the driver know this is where you are going).  Immediately on the left of the front entrance to Coral Towers is the ticket desk, where we redeemed our pre-paid vouchers for the day passes.  Took 5 mins as well.

Finding our way out to the water park was a little more tricky - Atlantis is HUGE!!!!  But head through the hotel shops and casino and out the back doors and follow the paths down to the pools and water park areas.  Some signs were there to direct you but there is definitely a lot of walking!!!

When we were ready to head back to the port, we just returned to where we were dropped off and there were taxis waiting there.

  3. We just got back from a cruise on Enchantment and it was so nice to have a beach bed on Coco Cay!  The pier is finished so we were like the 5th ship ever to dock there.  No more tender!  We had a document in our cabin when we embarked on Day 1 that explained how the beach beds worked and that we should go to the Shore Excursions desk to select our bed and order our lunches.  We chose #8 because it was near the end of the first row of beds directly looking out over the beach.  So nice!  It was a long tram ride to that part of the island but really not crowded at all.  The lunch was good (chicken sandwich, fish, burger, nachos, cucumber salad, shrimp ceviche, cookies and rum cake!) and delivered to us at the time we selected.  We had an attendant come by the bed about every 30 minutes or so to ask if we wanted drinks, so I would rate the service highly.  Well worth spending my OBC on this perk!

  4. We just got off the Enchantment last week and were in a balcony cabin (7026).  Our room steward actually made up the couch into a bed as is (did not pull out the sofa) and it was very comfortable for my 9 year old son.  The last two nights my husband's back started bothering him so he swapped with my son and slept on his side on the sofa and said it helped immensely.  So not sure what the pull-out sofa is like but the couch itself seemed to be great for sleeping.  :)

  5. Thanks for the review! We sail in April 2019 on Enchantment so I believe the new pier will be done by then at Coco Cay so we won't have to tender.

How was the crowd at the various pools? Did you get the same table each night with My Time Dining? We also made our MTD reservations ahead of time at the same time each night.

  6. What a fun contest and review! Enjoyed reading it....thanks for sharing! I think my husband and I will forego the drink package on our upcoming cruise because we will have our son along and we'll be in port half the time....but if we ever go on a celebratory anniversary cruise just the two of us I can totally justify it! :)

Did you find that the beach beds provided enough shade throughout the day? We have one reserved on CocoCay......

  7. We are sailing on Enchantment in April 2019 and the beach beds just showed up in Cruise Planner yesterday so I jumped on that!

Yep, $157 (**note: only reserve it under 1 guest, do not include all your party, otherwise it will charge $157 per guest!!!)

We had $125 OBC so it only ended up costing me around $30. Worth it to me and my hubby for a relaxing day at Coco Cay.
