This is a tough one for me... I worked on a cruise ship for awhile... not for NCL. I used to be a casino dealer and had a 6 month contract. I’ve been from the Baltic to South Africa and in between. Some of my favorite ports ( in no particular order)

Stockholm, Sweden

St Petersburg, Russia

Copenhagen, Denmark

Warnemunde, Germany

Mykonos and Santorini, Greece

Rome and Venice, Italy

Cape Town, South Africa

What an amazing experience it was!! Met so many great people and made lifetime memories.

We drove by it today to make sure we knew where it was. It is not at the port. It's behind a locked gate and very large wall. Will report back tomorrow (hopefully with pics) and again after the cruise.

Thanks. If you’re able to get an address that would be so helpful. I know there are many off site lots down there. Wouldn’t want to pick the wrong one. Enjoy your trip!! 🎉🛳

Is the parking you mentioned the parking at the Port of Miami or an off site location? Could you please report back on your experience with the parking after your cruise. We’re driving the day of our sailing in November from Ft Myers and some of the reviews about parking at off site locations have me nervous/ anxious.

Yes. Should be fine.

 

You could check in saying that you are using birth certificates and change to passports later too.

You can book 120 days prior to cruise (7/7/18). Bookings for Haven guests opens 130 days prior to cruise.

Thanks... do you know if I can book those things even if my check in won’t be complete?

Forgive me for asking this as I’m sure it’s been asked before but I’m new to CC and NCL cruising. When can you book dinners and entertainment? Also I can’t finish check in until we get our renewed passports back. Will I be able to book dinners and entertainment even though I’m not fully checked in? We sail out on the Getaway on November 4, 2018

Thanks for the info everyone. I called and added the UBP to our trip.

Our 1st NCL Cruise... we’re booked on the Getaway. We sail in 162 days!!! So excited!! 🛳

1st time NCL cruiser. When I booked our trip through NCL the lady doing our reservation said drinks are free in the casino, we’re traveling on the Getaway, if that makes a difference. I was just speaking with a friend yesterday, whose been on many NCL cruises and said she doesn’t believe that’s the case. Does anyone know if drinks are offered free in the casino?

Loving your review. My husband and I are doing our 1st NCL cruise in November on the Getaway... I might have missed it in the beginning of your review but where do you get the Vibe passes and how much are they?
