We have sailed both the Viking Star and Oceania Riviera also Oceania Marrina in the past three or so years. All three ships are excellent with plenty of space on the ship to get away from the other guests even on sea days ! Veranda Cabins are very similar, food is very good on both cruise lines. You’re itinerary has a lot to do with the excursions being offered but keep in mind Viking offers one excursion per port that is included in their price. Also beer and wine during lunch and dinner. But than Oceania offers free airfare in their price. We went to Auckland on Oceania free airfare which if booked myself would have been a pricey add on to our trip. Bottom line is you can’t go wrong with either company!

Thinking about taking this cruise in 2020 , has anyone done this itinerary? Like to know the port times , did you use Viking Air, able to have any options around flights etc. I have already been on Viking so I’m already sold on the ship but would like to hear any feedback on above. Thanks

I'm thinking of taking the Viking's Trade Route of Middle Ages cruise in 2019 ? Can anyone give me any feedback on their trip ? I have been on several cruises including Viking but would be interested in hearing from anyone who took this 15 day cruise i.e. port times, did you use Viking air if so what type of flight , lay overs etc... Thanks
Port anchoring?? Falmouth UK
in Viking Ocean

Anyone in the past have an issue with anchoring in Falmouth Uk ? Viking normally docks but I have noticed that they seem to also schedule anchoring. My understanding is that this port can be cancelled due to strong winds. I would be interested in hearing about your experience.
