  1. For my cruisetour in August of this year, the land excursions became available to book around the end of October last year. It was just slightly more than 9 months in advance. There was no notice, I was just periodically checking and one day they were available. They were not all available at the same time, either. I can't remember which one, but one of the excursions I was booking wasn't available for nearly a week after the rest.

When will summer of 2020 cruises go on sale?  I am ready to book, but I would like to get some perks!  🙂

You can book now and then call Princess when there is a promotion to re-fare. Or if you use a travel agent they will do that for you. I booked my Alaska cruise with no deals to ensure that I got the cabin I wanted and then my TA rolled us first into the Landmark Sale and then into the 3 for Free, which is where we will probably stay. You can keep switching promotions as long as your sailing/category is not sold out.

  3. I am sailing in August of next year and booked our whale watch about a month ago, and our flightseeing/bear watch about two weeks ago. While talking with Island Wings she mentioned that they often take reservations 18 months ahead of time, so I was glad I called when I did. I also called Coastal Helicopters, but they said they wouldn't start booking for next year until at least September.
