Great information!  Thank you so much!  We will be going straight from Fort Lauderdale to Key West and will be at dock B so it sounds like it will be a super simple on and off.  

Since this is an American port, is it a pretty quick process to get on and off the cruise ship?  We are there for the entire day and want to take a morning walking tour then get back on the ship to shower and eat lunch then get back off to get a drink at a bar and do some shopping.  Just wondering if we going to run out of time.  Thank you!
