I just got off the Island and they had it available in a couple of bars. I'm not a big IPA fan, but I tried it and it wasn't bad (if you like IPA's)

Thanks for the replies everybody. I am planning for the worst (Tivo is set), but hoping for the best.

Does anybody have any idea if they will be showing any of the Stanley Cup Finals on MUTS or anywhere onboard? I am sure the World Cup will dominate the screen, but I am hoping they will show the hockey games some place on the ship.

Yes, the excursions for the other two ports have been listed for quite some time. I really want to book through the ship, for just the reasons you guys have mentioned. It just seems strange that nothing is listed

I am only 3 months away from my Australian cruise aboard the Sea Princess and one of our ports is Yorkey's Knob. I have been watching the website, along with my cruise personalizer, but there are still no excursions listed for this port. Has anybody done this itinerary that can tell me what excursions are available? I am hoping for a trip out to the GBR.

The ferry stop at Hamilton will be a breeze. If your luggage is on wheels its just a short level roll a few hundred metres in front of the ship. However if North Quay is the one I am thinking of , the steps up to road level are pretty massive and you end up on a narrow path on a busy road. That was a couple of years ago and we did the ferry cruise from and to the ship.Perhaps someone from Brisbane can give further info on North Quay.
The Brisbane City Cat is a fantastic ride , I am just thinking of the luggge angle at the City end.
.
Thanks David. Sounds like it will work ok. I'm not worried about the luggage issue. I'll only have one roller bag, and I can get it up the stairs no problem.

I am staying one night post cruise and need to get from the Hamilton Cruise pier, where I think my ship is scheduled to dock, to downtown Brisbane. Has anybody taken the City Cat ferry? It looks like it stops right next to the cruise port and will drop me off near my hotel, at North Quay. Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will just make a quick stop to be on the safe side.

okay, this may be an odd question, but are there vending machines in the cruise terminal in Miami that sell soda? and if so, how much is a bottle? I was thinking it may actually be cheaper to just get a few bottles through the machines then to pay a taxi the additional price to stop somewhere along the way. I only need a few as mixers, not a 12-pack.

7 days to go for me. You could say I am "on deck." :D
The ports of call section is indeed filled with invaluable info. I am not sure what interests you, but based upon what I have read these are popular tours and ones I have actually done:
St. Lucia- Cosol's Tour
Barbados- Silver Moon Catamaran snorkle with the turtles (there are a few companies that do this tour
St. Thomas-Airforce 1 (Papa Bear)- island tour and Coki Beach (you actually get your choice of beach)
Antigua- Eli's Circumnav Tour (they also have an Eco Tour which is popular)
Dominica- Bumping Tour
All of these you will find in the ports of call section and if you do a google or yahoo search, you should find their actually websites.

NCTribeFan- thank you so much for your hard work and invaluable information. These boards are truely amazing.
I have excursions planned in every port and have never missed an excursion due to watching a movie the night before. I just prefer a movie over a show in one of the theatres. Reminds me of the good ole drive-in movie days. To each his own.
Two weeks from now I will be in Dominica :D -
I will be boarding two weeks from today. whoo hoo
Can anybody that has been onboard recently tell me what movies and concerts are playing on the outdoor screen? -
This is a GREAT room for a solo and it comes with a "toilet with a view." Just make sure you close the door when pulling into a port.

I have room 2445 (L-shaped 1A with the two pictures windows) booked for my cruise next month on the Triumph. I then booked the same room on the Victory in June 09. This will be my first solo cruise and I am very excited. These rooms seem perfect for a solo cruiser.

We had two "Code Alphas" on my recent Dawn cruise and both passengers, unfortunately, passed away. According to a crew member, who we spent time with on an excursion the day after the second one, code alpha does in fact mean a death has occured. Here's hoping I never have to hear a "Code Alpha" over the PA ever again.
Christmas aboard Caribbean Princess: Dec 20-27,2015 (sort of live from).
