IDK why people always ask this.  Book now when you have a voyage you want.  Book with a refundable deposit and you can re-fare anytime you find a better deal for you up until Final Payment Date.

Ummm thanks for your answer but I'm not sure why you needed to be rude about it.  Just scroll on if you don't like the question.

  2. We’re new to Celebrity and are looking at a cruise to New Zealand in December. Currently there is a 40% off sale but it ends tonight.
Should I make sure I snatch this up or is there likely to be another sale starting tomorrow that’s very similar pricing?

I would like to take more time to think about it but I don’t want to pay several hundred $ more in 2 weeks.
Experienced Celebrity cruisers opinions welcome. Thanks.

Will this work with an iPhone?  I'm interested but not sure where the SIM card is in my iPhone or if it can be swapped out.

Yes. Just make sure your iPhone is unlocked. The SIM card is probably on the right hand side of your phone. You’ll need a paper clip or something similar to put in the little hole to pop the tray out. KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL SIM IN A SECURE PLACE!! You’ll need it when you get home.

  4. If you don’t have a package that includes wifi, it can be very expensive to buy wifi for you and your family members.
What we did was a little different and a lot cheaper. We bought Pay as you Go SIMS for our phones with a large amount of data included. (£30 in UK for 30GB as an example) This means you can leave your data on all the time and if it can’t reach free data from land, you don’t have to worry about being accidentally charged the huge satellite amounts.
You’ll probably find that on port days you have data from when you get up in the morning until a little while after you leave port in the evening.
On sea days, sometimes you’re sometimes close enough to land to still be able to use data or you can buy a day of wifi - $20 for 1 device, $40 for up to 4 devices.
Either way, even when we had no wifi or data, we still seemed to be able to iMessage each other. It was great!

Also it’s easy to locate your shipmates using the free access to the Medallion App as some free access is included so you can order food, check on the day’s events, see your account bill.

Hope this helps save you some $£€!! 😊

So, wearing  jeans (Levi’s, Wrangler’s) is considered OK to wear in the MDR on Formal Nights?   Good to know.

Yes. Nice looking jeans with a nice shirt are completely acceptable though many prefer to dress up more.

  6. In Skagway we took tour SGY220 - Bennet Lake and Yukon Adventure. It included both highway and rail, fully narrated. It took the full day so we didn’t get to see much of Skagway but the scenery was breathtaking. If you take this tour, bring snacks!!  You get a fairly late lunch and we were all quite peckish!!

if you want only half a day with 80% of the scenery, I’d recommend SGY225 White Pass Rail and Klondike Highway. That will give you gorgeous scenery and time in Skagway.

Hi. Im so excited.  Great pics. We are doing the southbound June 29. I have some questions if you dont mind answering whenever you have free time.

    1) any problems with the size of the ship and getting around the inside passage?

We like the bigger ships and so far we’ve had no problems going the advertised route. It’s been beautiful!  We’ve been through the glacier bays, to Skagway, and today we’re in Juneau.

    2) did they take the advertised route or have to make changes?

    see above

    3) what are the best viewing areas besides your cabin?

Really anywhere outside on the higher decks is great. Also up there there is narration along the scenic parts.

    5) hows the Internet speed?

The internet has been good for me but some of my family members have had problems. Usually it’s okay if you’re not trying to stream anything.

    6) any particular excursions u recommend?

We went up to the Yukon through the White Pass Summit and back by train. It was a very long but beautifully scenic day. If you don’t need to see the Yukon on your bucket list, I’d say go anywhere from Skagway that goes as far as BC. That’s where the beautiful scenery really begins!

We’re only in our second port now.

  8. We are on the Royal Princess and last night was the first formal night. My husband wore nice jeans and a nice button down striped shirt. He couldn’t find the tie he packed and we don’t do jackets. It was no problem at all. I even saw a man in the dining room with a completely casual T-shirt.

Most dress quite nicely but nothing special is required.

  9. My husband and I are relatively new cruisers. We are currently on the Royal Princess on a southbound sailing from Whittier to Vancouver. I just wanted to say that having a balcony on the port side is AMAZING!!  From our room we can see all the gorgeous scenery all day long (not that we’re in the cabin all day)!

Yesterday we traveled through a bay to see Hubbard’s Glacier. It was really cool to see all the other people out on their balconies admiring the view and taking pictures!

These pictures are all taken from our balcony.

  10. I'm looking at booking an Alaska cruise in May 2019 and until Nov. 19 I can get the 3 for free deal.  What I'm wondering is do they just put the price up higher when they do a deal like this?  If I wait until after this deal is over, is it likely the price will drop by several hundred dollars?  I figure that 3 for free will save me around $300 in costs.
