I'm on the Oosterdam  Sept 15, 2019 Seattle to Alaska cruise. I am in a Veranda balcony cabin and am sailing alone. I thought there were 2 drink packages for the ship, one for $50.00 and one for $100.00. I thought this covered the length of the cruise not per day. Its my first cruise so would appreciate some clarification on this.  Also is there a photographer on the ship that could help with pointers for taking photos in Glacier Bay?

No I don't believe so. You just show up on the 1/2 hr and take the shuttle to the glacier returning at their last run. I don't recall setting a specific time for arrival.

How do I contact the shuttles leaving from the pier. I want to use it for rt to glacier visitors center. Its just me so rate is reasonable for me. Need to find out where to catch it and how to pay.

The regular drink package that is being talked about here is $50 pp plus the service charge. I believe if you order it pre cruise on line, it is $5 cheaper. Both parties in the cabin have to order it.

 

You don't have to get the package - you can pay as you go or buy a beverage card.

 

No coffee maker in balcony cabins. There is coffee 24/7 in the Lido and you can get great coffee (at a cost) at Explorations Cafe and, of course, you can order room service.

Thank you for your help. I will be alone in my cabin on the cruise. My friends will have a separate cabin. Is there a charge for having room service bring coffee to your cabin? Maybe a silly question but never having been on a cruise before I don't know how things like this work on a ship.

I will be making my first cruise on the Oosterdam to Alaska Sept, 2019. Can someone tell me what the drink packages cost? I usually have wine with dinner and cocktails sometimes in afternoon. I want strong black coffee when I first get up I the morning. Is there small coffee makers in the cabins or do I have to rely on room service? I will be in a balcony cabin if that makes a difference.
