Thank you everyone for your answers.  Seems pretty consistent that the trivia is done in teams the same as usual, except for the Sky Princess.

Sad that people feel it's okay to cheat by getting the info from the internet, though.  Doesn't seem like that would be much fun in order to get a luggage tag or pack of cards!

Hi, we have cruised a lot with my Dad in the past, but he is now 95 and can walk a limited distance with a cane, though he lives independently.  When we go into a city this year to do some  activity like a show, we take a portable wheelchair to get him to and from any distance necessary, though he can walk short distances and a few steps with a little assistance.

We were looking at the Princess Scandinavia cruise, which goes to Kristiansand, Copenhagen, Skagen, and Oslo.  Looking at the excursions, it looks like there really aren't any for wheelchair passengers, but he is not fully wheelchair bound, could get into the bus with us assisting him, we could take him in the wheelchair from the boat into the port excursion as that's often quite a distance, etc.  He could walk himself into a restaurant, bathroom, etc.

If anyone is familiar with the excursions from these ports, do you think we would be able to manage the easy excursions, and will they let us bring a portable wheelchair onto the bus, etc?

Hi, some questions on the ports and planning excursions as it looks like many of the posters have been on the PG before. We are on the 7 day 12/23 trip.

Moorea and Borabora are 2 day stops. I was thinking of doing the Lagoon excursion with feast in Borabora and the Dolphin watch in Moorea based on rec on this board. (2 of us about 60 and our 2 kids in their 20s). For the other day at these 2 ports, is the area nice to walk around/nice beach/do something near where the ships dock, or would you recommend we book another excursion?

Also, for excursions, what is your favorite excursion of the 4 ports for snorkeling?( other ports on cruise are Huahine and Tahaa)? My kids are strong swimmers though I might hold off if it's not a beginner snorkel. Do you see such different things you would rec. more than one snorkeling excursion?

Also, in Papeete we arrive at 6 am and have day room at IC, and before leaving at 11 pm have day room at Pearl as part of our package. I don't think either of those is in Papeete itself. I was wondering about visiting the big market in Papeete the first day (we come from CA so hopefully not too tired), and can we just catch a le truck to get there or would we need a taxi? Also, would you rec. trying to get an excursion into the interior to see waterfalls, etc the last day while we are at the Pearl?

Hi has anyone done the Mayan Cultural Experience(esp with Princess)? We are travelling with a grandma who uses a walker and it doesn't look like we would be able to do any of the ruins here or in Belize with her, and she'd have to tender there.

Also if you have any other suggestions for good excursions here or in Cozumel for her please let me know.

Hi, we are on a Princess Western Caribbean trip in January to Costa Maya, Belize and Cozumel, and have multiple age groups in our family and trying to figure out which trips best for each--they don't all have to be on the same trip.

1) My Dad, a retired anthropologist 90 y/o with a cane. Which is the most interesting ruin that he could manage? Want to avoid steps or too much walking. Tulum on Cozumel, or Alta Hun on Belize, or do you recommend others?

2) 2 college students. Best ruins for them to see? Other trips you rec? We were thinking cave tubing on Belize.

3) 90 y/o mother uses walker. Any excursions she could manage? She'd like to do something more than just watch a cooking/folkloric show. Likes animals, sightseeing. Can she manage the tender on Belize or just stay on ship? In Cozumel there is an El Cedral, cruise and museum ship tour rated "easy" but under it's specifics says not recommended for those with walking difficulties and lists 30 steps!

In Costa Maya there is a Mayan cultural experience one that I wonder if she could manage--has anyone done that?

Hi, FYI we just returned from the Mexican Riviera cruise over Christmas. We had a party of 8. 4 people brought a bottle of wine in their suitcase no problem. We checked in a case of wine, as we always have, that we weren't questioned about and paid corkage drinking it at dinner. My father has always brought a bottle of scotch in his luggage to take a nip before dinner and never had a problem with 5 cruises before this, but they removed it this time so he lost it.
