  1. Another Princess ship is being "tracked" due to shared crew with the Diamond and/or Grand Princess:

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/07/politics/mike-pence-cruise-ship-crew-coronavirus/index.html

If I'm not mistaken, Princess has an active fleet of 17 ships with the Diamond and Grand obviously taken out of the line up.

I'm supposed to be setting sail on the Regal in a week.

ADDENDUM: A passenger on the Princess Cruises Passenger Forum on Facebook claims the crew member was on the Grand and transferred to the Royal Princess. This news item seems to confirm:

You are using the correct password, right?

This PW is different from the one used to log into Princess.com

Yes, correct login info was confirmed. Checked Chrome's password settings.

"We can’t find an account matching those credentials, please try again."

  3. Now the Ocean.com website is rejecting my password. My browser saves login information so it's not user error. I hope this whole medallion thing works WAY better on the ship than the set up has worked.

EDIT: Resetting the password doesn't work. The new password is rejected as well.

The OceanReady app is one of the worst apps I've EVER used!  I have over 50 years of software development, so I'm not a neophyte.  Trying to scan the passport, I had to put two on my account, took about 20 minutes each.  The app gave me all kinds of warnings about "glare".  the passport page is glossy.....  I had to finally go into a room and close all curtains to get the room COMPLETELY dark.  And play with the orientation of the passport until it would finally accept it.  Also, it's definitely NOT intuitive, they do a lot of very non-standard things in this app.  Looks like it was developed and QA'd by a very young team doing their first app, with no knowledge of industry standards, and a lack of experience in interfacing with consumers.

I finally got everything in but it was one of the most frustrating apps I've ever used.

This app IS buggy. My wife and I have been "Ocean Ready" for weeks. This morning, suddenly we're not. It says we need to add travel documents. Both our passports and drivers licenses have been uploaded for some time. Given where we're going, we shouldn't need any additional documentation.

The website is no better. It says, "We found no travel documents recommendations for this journey." And it displays both of our passports and drivers licenses. And the "DONE" button to try to re-add them is grayed out.

    What's going on here?

  5. I recently breezed through American customs using the Mobile Pass app on my iPhone. I have a cruise next year that will necessitate my going through Canadian customs so I downloaded the CanBorder-eDeclaration app.

To my surprise, unlike Mobile Pass which includes a photograph, address, passport information, et cetera, the CanBorder-eDeclaration app asks only for a "nickname" and one's country and state of residence. Unless Canadian customs is incredibly informal I don't see how this app will work with such trivial data.

Anyone have any experience with the CanBorder-eDeclaration app?
