I am not sailing to Panama but I am sailing to Alaska on Radiance. I really enjoyed all the pictures you took, thank you for sharing.

I booked through M&M and she told me their last shuttle the night my ship is in port is 7pm. I'm on Radiance in July & our ship departs at midnight.

Was on Harmony in January right after the "new" menus came out and it's the first time I ever left a cruise hungry. I have never complained about any food I'm served and I've never sent a dish back. However, everyone around us had to send the prime rib back, some more than once - it came out either raw or shoe leather, very stringy and unedible. I figured I'd be safe with lasagna on Italian night and it looked like slop and tasted even worse. It didn't remotely resemble lasagna. I didn't touch it after the first bite but the waiter never noticed or offer a replacement item and truthfully, I didn't even want to try. The onion soup literally had NO onions. My friend ordered calamari appetizer and it came out cold. I just hate to see the quality go down so badly.
Yikes, that's terrible and I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm very picky with my pasta & Italian dishes. The spaghetti was terrible the first time I tried it on RC and I always made sure to pick something else.
I wasn't even going to try the Lasagna. I'm already planning on bringing ziplock bags to keep some cheese and fruit in our fridge from the Windjammer to enjoy on the balcony. Maybe I should make it a point to see what they have to offer. Last time on Freedom we enjoyed the MDR for the most part but agreed we would splurge on one night for a specialty dining.

Only going by your name, but there is a golf course in anchorage. My hubby just made tee times for our trip in July. Just a suggestion, we haven't been there yet.

Typically only one formal night on shorter cruises, and on 7 night cruises formal night is always on night 6. On cruises longer than 7 nights, it is always the evening before your last cruise day. Also, typically no lobster night on cruises less than 7 days.
Thank you. This is a 7 night cruise.

Am I the only one that thinks specialty dining is highly over rated? Their quality has diminished also IMHO
You can check the current sailing of your ship on the app
The menus are posted several places, including here:
First look at Royal Caribbean's new main dining room menus | Royal Caribbean Blog
Yes, I've seen them thank you. I was asking about the order of them. I can only access the cruise I'm booked for on the app.
We are only doing 1 special dining night out, we definitely will be eating in Alaska 2 nights too.

I was told our last night at sea was the 2nd formal night so will it be Royal or Goodbye?

So according to RC when they launched the new menus it should be:
welcome Aboard
French on first formal night (first sea day)
Caribbean on the first Caribbean port
Mexican on first Mexican port
Royal night on second formal, usually second sea day
bon voyage on last night
the last two - Italian and British would be the other two nights but no pattern as to when they are AFAIK.
Thanks, unfortunately that doesn't work for Alaska. I WISH there was an Alaska themed night for those cruises since it really is a short season.

I'm trying to plan our upcoming Alaska Cruise, on Radiance if it makes a difference. This post isn't to complain about the new menus, but there are certain nights we definitely don't want to eat in the MDR because of them. We did want to try specialty dining so I want to book on a night we won't enjoy it.
Obviously Welcome Aboard is the 1st night, I heard French is the 1st formal night. Our 2nd at sea is also our last night so I'm guessing that's Royal night?
If we're lucky the menus we don't like will be on nights we will still be in port later than our dining time!
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you for asking this question, I was curious as well!

You booked this through the Alaska Railroad site (alaskarailroad.com)? I don't see tickets available for next summer yet.
Sorry for the late reply but yes, directly on their site.

I booked my train yesterday for next July. Leaving Seward 6pm traveling to Anchorage. We are going Adventure Class & prices went up $3pp from this year, however I was given a 5% discount for booking early.
Good luck with whatever you choose!

Contact the Seward visitor and convention bureau (use Goggle to find the contact info). In the past there was a business in Seward named something like "The Bag Lady" which was a luggage storage service.
Thanks, I Googled her and her website is no longer in business. I will call their visitor center tomorrow.
Worst case scenario we will rent a car.

We are cruising on Radiance and will end our cruise in Seward. We are planning our own land tour as we only have 3 days.
We would like to do the Exit Glacier hike, maybe visit Two Lakes, visit some murals, the brewery and eat at a local restaurant. I was planning on booking the bus (shuttle?) to take us to Anchorage in the PM.
As I'm working out the details I just realized I have NO IDEA what to do with our luggage! There are 6 adults who will all have suitcases & probably some carry on bags as well.
We were thinking about spending the night in Seward but almost all refundable hotels & Airbnbs are already sold out.
Any advice?

Yikes, that's not good. I haven't seen any complaints about that on trip advisor so maybe that doesn't happen often. Thanks for the heads up I will certainly check with them just in case.
I'm still trying to figure out if we'll be able to get a fairly good tour of the island from 8:30-11:30AM. I hate to wait and grab a taxi when we get there. I really like to have everything arranged before I get to port.I don't think it happens often either, but I just wanted to give a heads up. Luckily we didn't have anything else booked, it was just juggling our own schedule around. I like to know what I'm doing ahead of time too.

Currently onboard the Freedom. This is our third week and can confirm the following:
* The ship was cleared of passengers no later than 10:15 am...it would've been earlier this week but a family of four couldn't be located and when found, had to be escorted off the ship.
* Yes, Bob is correct, passengers started boarding by 11am.
* No one was allowed to stay until 3pm.
* OP, regrettably you may have been given the wrong information.
Let us know if you have any other questions...Happy Sailing! ☺️
Wow, you are on Freedom for 3 weeks? We will be arriving on the 11/17 sailing, I can't wait!!!

Again my pleasure! I saw her today and she told me (I work in Punda too so maybe I'll see you next week 😀)
I love her pictures and can't wait to bring home my very own Skadey!

My advice would be to check in with Woodwind about a week before your tour. We were all set for an afternoon tour, only to be told that they had little interest in the afternoon and would only be doing a morning tour. I have no idea when they would have told me, I reached out to them. We still plan on going, but now I'm scrambling a bit to change our day around.
-
I reached out to them by email to double check all was set and was told they didn't have much interest in an afternoon tour and could we make the morning tour. I told them that if the ship arrived at 8am there was no way I would get to them by 8:15 for the 8:30 tour. They said everyone was from Freedom so not to worry. So, now my question is how early should we be lined up waiting to get off the ship? I purposely booked an afternoon so we wouldn't have to do this but I don't want to miss their tour.

You can contact her via Facebook, the page is Dhanarts
Thank you, I actually found her on both FB and Instagram. I've never seen info on her store before, again thank you so much! I can't wait to visit next week :)

Check out Copperstone store to meet local artist Melissa of Dhanarts, located at the back of the Gomezplein (Hanchi Snoa #9) and see Skadey, the "official Cat " of Curaçao.
I'm SO GLAD I saw this! Can you tell me about how much one of the Skadey's would cost? I've been Googling but haven't really found much information. I'm definitely visiting this shop!

We'll be doing this on Nov. 21st and I cannot wait!

I've only been to Megan's & Coki but we chose to return to Coki. The fish literally ate out of your hand, it was amazing. We loved it.

The sign is located in Queen Wilhelmina Park. You can Google map/image and see the area where the sign is. I'm going on Freedom in November and after the beach break excursion we plan to go back to ship to freshen up and head over there as well.

Just wanted to follow up now that we are back.
Thank you for posting. After researching I have been following both Reflexions & Surfside on Facebook as we don't go until November. It's just hubby and I and honestly we aren't interested in a pool, just the beach and some food and drinks. Both places look awesome.

I booked with M&M in early February and was cancelled last night. Super upset but also feel bad for them as well. I'm going to try to get a car from Turo and hope for the best. This was my bucket list item for this trip so I really hope it all works out.
