  1. I am a huge racing fan and from time to time I have been able to catch an F1 race or an IndyCar race on board the ship. It is fun to see the footage from foreign sports networks...so I say make a sports bar showing sports from around the world from the all the other networks like Eurosport, Sky TV, Fox Sports International, Fuji TV, , BBC sports etc.

  2. Hi all! Did I read right about expedia email for carrying on baggage? If so what airlines are charging? and did they give a fee for this? Next round well all be charged just to drive into the airport! HaHa Thanks Jo

most airlines are charging to check bags...you can carry on 2 bags for free. Most charges are anywhere from $15-35. It really sucks because now everyone is carrying on oversized carry on bags that take for ever to shove in the over head and pull out once you have landed. Boarding and disembarking times have doubled on most of my flights lately because of this.

  3. On my first cruise, RCCL, on the last day of the cruise, which was a sea day, I went to the Windjammer for an afternoon snack. I got a plate of nachos and brought them to the pool deck, as many were doing. As soon as I stepped outside a huge gust of wind carried all my nachos, (beef, cheese, tomatoes, chips) onto this older gentleman who was sitting and relaxing in a chair. I was so embrassed and felt bad, but I had to run inside before anything else was taken in the wind!:o

meant to thank you for the nachos...they were tasty.....:D

  4. We did a Hubbard Glacier cruise several years ago and they reported seeing bears off the port side. Well we went and looked and sure enough we saw a huge brown bear shuffling around on an island.

The bear seemed to notice the ship and stood up on his hind legs.

He then proceeded to unfurl a Mexican flag, don a sombrero, and started playing the Mexican Hat dance on a trumpet...

needless to say we were pretty pissed and laughing all at the same time...

I am not sure what you were smoking....but share!!!!! LOL :D

  5. These are great I love them!!!! Keep them coming folks!!!

The bacon one I love....I like crispy bacon too, but hey with a buffet I do not count on it and just take it for what it is worth...and do not complain

And the last one about being on a cruise how can you not be happy...I agree....my wife and I feel the same....your on vacation relax.......

    keep them coming everyone!!!!:D

  6. I forgot about this one. We were in Antigua on a private tour. When we first showed up and met our driver he was very nice and kind. We had group of people for MI, couple from CA, and a couple from TX. When the group from MI showed up all they did is complain. They said they asked for a private tour and didn't want to be with other people, and also said the owner promised them he would be the driver and not his brother. His brother, who was very funny and polite, explained that the owners son was sick and he to take care of him and sent his appologies and then explained this is a private tour. My wife tried to explain to them that in the Carib, this is what they define as a private tour (private=small). My wife lived in the Carib for a few years...this still did not make them happy. A few of the ladies lets say were quite large and had a hard time sitting in the seats...which sorry I kind of chuckled when one got stuck. Anyways the guide took us all over the island to see the sites.....and these hens could not shut up and kept complaining. I apologised to the driver for all Americans and told him I appreciated him taking care of us. He just replied can't make everyone happy all of the time. I laughed and replied back yes I guess your right as he poured me more rum punch.....I drank a lot just so I could stand the others. The coupld from TX and CA were cool and so the six of us just sat back and made fun of the others. Time comes around and the driver passes a menu around so he could call our orders in to our final destination...lunch on the beach!!!! All of the people order hamburgers and complain about how expensive it is. Ummmm folks...sorry look around do you see any cattle ranches around? NO! If you see a cow it is likely for its milk or for a families beef supply. They have to import the beef! Eat local food if you want to save money. Then one asks is this place air conditioned? Um your on the beach and there is a good breeze...why do you need AC? So we get there and I get my goat curry which I love. One lady could barely let me enjoy it she just commented on how gross that was and how could I eat that and I can't believe you are eating it. Folks the world is not America....don't try to make it that way.

  7. On one cruise we attended one of the couples games where they ask married couples questions about each other. There was one couple that they asked the wife what her husband reminded her of when he gets out of the shower. She said a frog! The crowd lost it and the entertainment director took a bit to regain his composure. So for the rest of the cruise when anyone saw this poor guy they would say "ribit-ribit".

  8. This wasn't on our cruise but on the flight back back from our cruise in the Adriatic and Med. We flew out of Venice to Amsterdamn and then back to the US. There was this crazy lady that sat next to my wife that just talked about the most odd things. She kept drinking kaluha, baileys, and vodka the whole flight. I swear she had about 10 of them. Plus she had a grocery bag that was full of prescription pills and kept popping them like they were candy. I swear she had pills of every color and size. She must have made this flight a lot because the flight crew knew her....and I was not in a good way. They seemed very annoyed with her. Anyways we arrive in the US and when the door opens they tell everyone to remain in their seats. The male flight attendant comes back and says Mrs. So-in-So, the US Marshalls and US Customs are hear to speak with you please come with me. All of us began to speculate what was going on. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation! The funniest part was that she wasn't even afraid she was very nonchalant about it and even said to my wife and I, " It was nice talking with you, have a safe trip home." She acted like she expected this and this was a normal routine.....LOL

I can hear it now. "Mrs. Smith let's make it easy, not sure what you brought back with you but let's make it easy and just hand it over."

  9. We were on cruise down the west coast of Mexico and Flavor Flav was on our ship. In all his glory with the clock and viking helmet. One night he was walking around the ship in his PJ's with fuzzy pink bunny slippers, viking helmet, and clock. The dude is a trip. Somehow we kept running into him in all of the Ports and on the ship. He is really a nice guy and stopped to take pictures with everyone and sign autographs. Had some cool conversations with him.

  10. I was just thinking of some of the weirdest, dumbest, or most funny complaints I have heard while on a cruise ship. It was on Princess in the Caribbean there was this one lady. We were standing in line at the pursers desk and the lady in front of us finally had her turn. She walks up carrying two full pieces of paper that were loaded with complaints. One was they requested a table by the window and didn't get, amongst others I can't remember. The one that stuck with us was that she was complaining that she was having to wait 2 minutes for her toast in the morning at the buffet. The kitchen had placed a staff member at the toaster to help people, and most likely because someone burned them selves using it so someone else toasts your bread. She kept going on and on...to the point we couldn't hold it in and busted out laughing at her. Really complain about toast????? We were barely half way through our cruise and this lady had already accumulated enough complaints to fill up 2 pieces of paper. I guess paradise doesn't make everyone happy.:D

Been on two more since, well anyway, we went to the quest game show, and if any of you out there have been to this you know what its like. Well we were sitting there, there was 35 in my party including aunts and uncles , and my parents. the staff asked for the first person to come up with 3 pairs of mens pants, well ill tell you i have NEVER!! seen so many man drop there pants so fast. including my father and sisters boyfriend, who were in tighty whities. I thought my mom was going to have a heart attack!! any way the night was nicly rounded out with my very macho 19 year old cousin, dressing in his sister clothing to win the best looking mail dressed up like female.(i would post the pictures, because they are that good but he would kill me) It was hillarious seeing these guys running around, so they could win, and mind you they knew in advance that the prices were only KEY CHAINS, AND LANYARDS:D ill tell you what a hoot!!
