Yep, all shows on Rhapsody are first come, first served.

Thanks, good to know!

What ship?
Only Oasis and Quantum class ships have pre-cruise show reservations.
Gotcha - Rhapsody of the Seas, so we'll wait until we board.

We're going on a cruise in about 20 days and I don't see any reservations for shows - will those become available on the cruise planner? First time cruiser, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

I'm on the 2/16 sailing and have this same question, hoping someone will know! We'd like to make a reservation for dinner on a night that's not a formal night and would rather make the reservation ahead of time!

Careful. The OP has water excursions where one bus will drop off, but another may pickup.
Thanks, wasn't going to do that at all. Really just asked for any knowledge about lockers, not about opinions about what I should or should not bring :)

On our dolphin swim we were told there were lockers. Technically there were lockers, but only 4 of them for 2 bus loads from the ship.
Thanks, that's very helpful! I found a smallish PacSafe that I will bring so that I will have something when needed.

Assume the answer is no and make internal to your party decisions on what valuables to take and how to keep them secure.
Every port stop and every excursion will be different.
Thank you, that makes a ton of sense :)

I appreciate everyone's input. Snarkiness isn't helpful, everyone has different experiences.

We will bring only necessities, but even those will need to be kept safe. My question is really about whether there are lockers at the excursion locations.
-
Thanks, but we'll have phones as well as ship cards, and I think one in our party will have a watch that shouldn't get wet. The barrier reef snorkeling excursion is off a private island, not directly off a boat.

First time cruiser here, RC Rhapsody of the Seas Western Caribbean. We've already booked two water excursions (swimming with dolphins and barrier reef snorkeling). Are there lockers at these locations so that our wallets, etc will be kept safe? I've been thinking about getting a portable lock box safe, going back and forth, and am trying to understand if we'll have a safe place to secure valuables at these excursions or if I should get something like a portable safe. Thanks!

Thaks for all of the great responses!

Thanks!

Do medications really need to be brought in original containers? I read through some threads that were rather old and I wondered if anyone has any updated information. I'm not worried about flying with them, I've done that many times without issue with the pills in a divided pillbox. I'd just rather not have all of those large (90-day supply) bottles in my carry on if I don't have to. Also considering trying PillPack as an alternative. I appreciate any thoughts!

Yes, the RCI app does that, but not yet available on Rhapsody.
Anyone have any idea if it will be available on Rhapsody? I'm sailing in February and am hoping it'll be available by then, seems like it'll make so many aspects of the cruise easier.

First time cruiser and I've looked for info but haven't found it yet. What are your suggestions for whether I should bring my YETI insulated coffee mug or just plan to buy something onboard? I'm guessing onboard purchases have a pretty big markup?

I've had this same question! First-time cruiser in February (RC, Rhapsody of the Seas). I have a small cross-body that I'll use in the airport and will be good for in ports where I'm not doing water-related activities. I have a dry-bag pouch for my phone for kayaking, etc.
Thinking about getting something like this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017RQUIC4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AQQ2MOWAIW96A&psc=1
for time at the pool, beach, etc, that would fit my e-reader, phone, etc. I figure it would be useful even after the cruise at beaches, etc.
What type of bag/purse/backpack do you use when at port stops?

I had this same question and kept going around and around numerous times on what to pack for my first ever cruise (RC, Rhapsody of the Seas, 2/16/2019 departure).
I used a Vera Bradley RFID-blocking small cross-body in the airport and ended up using that everywhere - in ports and on the ship when I wanted more than just my SeaPass. Everything else I brought - a small wristlet, a dry-bag pouch for my phone, and a small PacSafe pouch - did not get used a single time. Not once.
Having said that, our snorkeling excursion was canceled 😞 and I may have used the dry-bag pouch had we gone on that, so I'll probably bring that with me next time.
