Hi All,

We are getting super excited for this 14 day cruise. Unfortunately our friends have just cancelled.  We have already paid for a private tour for four people on October 17, Istanbul in a Day from a company called Through Eternity, ( we used this company in Rome). We are looking for another couple to join us. Your cost would be $100 euros per person, please bring $200 euros, cash to us when we meet up for the tour. Our transfer starts at 10:00 am. Our tour begins at 10:30 am. It’s an 8 hour tour. The Topaki Palace is closed that day but we will explore Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar. Please let me know if you’re interested.

I appreciate your insights. Our flight from DFW is on Wednesday at 5:00 am, thus we definitely need a PCR test in St Maarten. We can’t board our ship until 3:00 pm on Saturday.  If anyone is reading this and has used any company in St Maarten, please let me know if you are pleased with everything. I’m a tad nervous about testing in St Maarten. I truly believed all of this Covid mess would not be an issue when we booked the cruise a year ago. I still believe the cruise will be worth all the testing and everyone will remain healthy while on board.

My husband and I are sailing on the Star Flyer out of St Maarten in March. We don’t need a PCR test to enter St Maarten ( fully vaccinated)  but we do need a rapid PCR to board our ship. If anyone has be tested in St Maarten, please respond to this post. We arrive on a Wednesday afternoon and board our ship on Saturday. We need the Rapid PCR test on Thursday. 

We leave on March 12. I am sorry we are not sailing together. I hope you have a wonderful cruise. Have you sailed on Star Flyer before?  We have only been on large cruise ships. Any advice?

We are sailing in March on Star Flyer. Our first SC cruise. Please send any helpful information after your February cruise please. Information regarding getting a Covid test ( to board the Star Flyer )  in St Maarten since we arrive three days before and stay three days after our cruise would be greatly appreciated. Also any advice regarding excursions please. If I need a sweater for dinner each night in the dining room. Do you plan to board the ship around 4:00 pm ?  When can you enter your room?  Wondering if most people wait until later since we sail at 10:00. Thank you for your help and insight.
