    Thanks everyone. The 11 day canada new england was what i was looking at so good to know many are sold out.

    I believe this is new. For july 3 emerald princess canada new england cruise there is a low single supplement on ocean obstructed view. Note you have to search for interior and then you will see ocean obstructed which has a lower price then an interior cabin. Most face the lifeboats. I really wish princess would do something other than these last minute deals.

    Thanks, so now i’m debating a cruise between late september and july. Do you really see the fall colors in the fall or does this not happen all the time?

    I'm looking at booking a cruise 40 days away but i'm concerned excursions will book up. Is it the case excursions often book up early?

    Also does norwegian restrict solos by only allowing them to book certain insides? I find it peculiar the fall 24 sailings seem close to sold out. Also it appears you have to pay more if you are paying more for a specific category?

    There are 2 rooms on deck 5 5727 (solo inside) and 5113. I am really concerned about being under the galley. I know someone on norwegian gem post said it wasn’t bad but on holland america it was horrible. I’m hoping one of these rooms is better than norwegian gem rooms. I’d really appreciate your help. I have trouble visualizing the 2 floors.

    Princess doesn’t usually charge more for aft rooms. I assume they are charging more as an id category. The only thing i can think of is aft is preferable but not sure worth extra 122.00

    The travel agent i’m booking with charges 122 for aft which is categorized id vs front which is ie. I don’t really see the difference in location. The front cabin is 8 from front and aft is 8 from the back. Its baja deck so shouldn’t be problems as cabins are above and below. I don’t understand why aft cabins are categorized better.

    Thank you. I’ve been under the galley before and it was horrible so this is great info.. I’m a little concerned what the mystery space is but i guess there is no way to find out.

    I’m wondering if anyone has sailed on a solo inside on norwegian gem. 2 rooms offered are 4545 which is by a mystery space and 4507 and 5107. If you’ve tried any let me know! Sparse pickings.

    Thanks everyone for replying. I'm feeling better about it now. I'm also a bit nervous as first time on princess, i've only been on royal caribbean and holland america. I do like its a smaller ship.

    I am looking at holland america cruises. One goes to portland. One goes to rockland. I've never heard of rockland. Is one better than the other?

    Sorry i see there is quite a recent thread. Maybe these posts are anomalies. It is true that the Canada New England is port intensive. I'll have to check how many sea days there are. Not sure what the international cafe is as people said they missed that.

    Looking on going on a bucket list canada new england cruise in 2025. June one is on the island princess and works better for my schedule. I'm concerned as recent reviews on cruise critic aren't good. Would people recommend the island princess? Fall one is on the majestic but doesn't work with my schedule so well. Not sure whether to wait for 2026 but schedule isn't up yet.

    That's ok. I'm canadian and i was looking in US dollars so that cruise isn't cheap. I'm also wondering if its rough and if i need to be concerned with staying in a mid ship cabin.

    There is a reasonably priced cruise on oct 19 but i'm wondering if that's too late? Not sure about rain/bad weather on east coast. I'm also looking at a cruise june 4 and not sure how hot it would be/if that's a particularly good time to go.

    I'm debating getting this package. I'm wondering if people find the smoothies and mocktails to be good? Can you get a double smoothie?

    Thank you so much for your kind help. Yes i saw the marriott has a cheap coffee place and they mention kings hawaiian so good to know thats a local bakery. Also good to know about breakfast burritos and the liquor store. I have a dennys 5 min away from me so probably won't go there lol. I'm set!

    Thanks! Looks like gets good reviews too. I just want to apologize to op for hijacking the thread. There is a lot of focus on crowne plaza and double tree yet due to cost and traffic they may not be suitable. I think op indicated earlier they found what they are looking for which is good.

    I am warming to the idea of the marriott redondo. Nice to be a bit closer and pool looks nice. Any restaurant recommendations?

    Lots of choices A lot of people have suggested aloft el segundo which is apparently across from an in n out burger. Presumably you'd still be stuck in traffic going to torrance?

    Thanks, i've posted on the marriott facebook page and i'm hoping i can find a suitable hotel. It will be cheaper anyways if i can use my points. I do not want to be stuck in traffic and i'm not really interested in taking an early flight. Someone on the lax trip advisor forum also warned me about bad traffic on friday.
