Just tried to sleep on the pull out sofa bed on the Grand 2 weeks ago. It was awful. Thin and short mattress. It lasted about 5 minutes. Only 2 of us, so we converted the queen to 2 twins.
They were comfortable, but I hate a twin bed.

We'll be renting a car on Maui.
I understand there are no shuttles.
Is it easy to flag a cab or Lyft to the car rental agencies?

We have $600 obc given to us from Princess. We prepaid a $1000 casino credit. If we gamble in the casino the first night, which will be applied first?

Of course then there is always the one who set them forward. My partner did earlier last night. I didn't even notice. We didn't figure it out til this morning. Sad, huh?

Wow, I'd grab it in a heartbeat.

i usually put it in a small roller with nothing else and send it onto the room with my other luggage.
👍 Brilliant! We've ordered a case of the ship's water. We'll put some of our water in a roller and if it is confiscated....so be it. We can buy some more in Hawaii. Thank you everyone for your advice.

You could also post on the roll calls just before your cruise to see if someone could tell you the brand.

Good idea. This is our first cruise. This is our petty "crisis". 😁
My cruising partner may just have to make a taste adjustment.

On our Spring B2B cruises from LA to the Mexican Riviera & then a coastal to Vancouver it was Crystal Geyser Alpine Spring Water with the water package. I don’t know where you’re sailing & it can vary by embarkation port.

Inaccurate information is more common on weekends when their least experienced reps are working.
Maybe if we call right before our trip, they can tell us what kind of water they'll be offering.
Thank you.

Why not just order the water package pre cruise?
It will be waiting in your cabin on arrival.
You can order as many as you want.
Because we want spring water instead of the purified water they offer.

A Princess rep told us.
Thank you for the responses.
We'll give it a go.

One of us prefers spring water to purified, so we planned on putting a strap on a case of water and
bringing it as luggage. Now, Princess tells us we can't do this.
Is this policy enforced?

I've never had any trouble with the speed of the Princess website on my phone or PC. The only glitch is when you try to pay for 2 excursions it automatically takes 1 from OBC although youve selected PayPal to pay for both. You have to call to have it billed correctly. Happened to us 3 times.

We certainly like to eat, but we usually bring home half our meal for seconds because we're not big eaters.
Can we order smaller portions so that we don't waste food?
Thanks.

First time cruisers here. Thank goodness for this forum We're learning so much!
Sailing the Grand Princess to Hawaii in November. Will we be able to buy
Ensure / Boost on board? Would save us hauling more stuff.
Also, I tried to private message another member, but was told by Cruise Critic that it is not allowed.
Is there any way to contact another poster?
Thanks for any info.

We'll be on the Hawaiian cruise over Thanksgiving. Hope they have a fancy feast!

I booked a couple month ago and received $200 OBC each. Now Princess is offering $300 OBC per person for the same room. Guess what? The cost of the room has gone up $80. As a first time cruiser, I'm learning fast.
