When you invite guests on another reservation, the dining reservation is subtracted from the number of reservations that guest is allotted. And yes, you are correct - you can only invite guests whose dining availability has opened. Hope this helps!

I have done this itinerary 3 times and loved it each time. Viking's Romantic Danube is the most popular itinerary -- It is offered from Nuremberg to Budapest or Budapest to Nuremberg. There are several reasons I would recommend going from Nuremberg to Budapest, one of which is that it will allow you slightly more time in the ports.

Viking DOES offer a group discount -- usually $125 per person off the standard rate AND a free berth for every 10 passengers sold. Some agencies offer additional incentives.

Depending on the number of guests, your group may qualify for a cocktail party and other amenities.
