I've read here that they are stopping the practice of re-using WOW bands.  We shall see if this turns out to be a fleetwide practice.

When we were on Symphony in July our Wow bands had our Muster station on it and they could not re-use old ones.  Unless you have the same muster station.

We had a choice of 2 colours, black or white.

  2. We got off Symphony on Sat, and walked off at 8:15, picked up luggage, no line up for passport, got into taxi straight away, $27 to airport, checked bags, did security and having breakfast in airport at 9am.

BTW, lots of people waiting around on Deck 5 but nobody was exiting the ship, so we just walked off.  Lots of people waiting for the bus transportation or shuttles to airport, we just walked past to taxi line and we were the only ones there.

FYI, i've been considering The Key for our May cruise on the Anthem. I saved it in my shopping cart a week ago but couldn't decide to pull the trigger for $32 a day. Yesterday it was still $32. Well, i just looked in my cruise planner and the price has dropped to $25!! Now it's "on sale".....i think i'm going to snag it. For us, priority boarding is huge (we use FTTF on Carnival), embarkation lunch away from the buffet is a plus, and having access to special hours at some of the activities seems well worth it!

I'm wondering if the price drop is for everybody today or just certain ships/dates??

Go for it, you can always cancel and buy again if it drops back to $19.  Better than $32 per day.

  4. The "worth" of this program is strictly personal, as is the "worth" of the beverage package or the dinning package, these are all up sells that some people are willing to spend and believe it is worth it and others who do not see the value.

All personal preference, I enjoy hearing the reviews and comments (good and bad), will this sway my own opinion? Probably not but I do like getting the information.

In the end, you need to decide if spending the extra $$ is something you are comfortable with.  Personally I did it straight away for our JULY cruise, done and paid for and really not even thinking about it anymore.

  5. I agree this pricing makes you think it is a real good deal.  I did select it and put in my checkout and realized it was $52 per person, so $104 a day.  Now I have price point for breaking even, and this is below it, so I am comfortable with that price however I did see it at $49 earlier and last year I did grab one for $45.

So for me $52 is a good deal, I like to drink all different types of drinks on Vacay, one of the nice perks to being on vacation, my Wife however enjoys her coffee and a few other drinks.  At $52 we would barely break even for her..  so lets see the $45 and I'm in..  besides I got till July, plenty of time.

I just like the idea of prepaying and not worrying about the costs while on board.

    Cheers !!

When you go to the next screen as if you were going to purchase it, then you see it is $52. Put it in your "cart" and you see the total they will charge, and if you are sitting down when you see the total, that is the safe way to do it.

Thanks everyone, I was under the impression I would buy one at $52 and the second would be 50% off..  Realized no real deal, and I have seen the price at $46 already.  I will keep waiting.

And yes I was sitting down..

I'm about to find out in a few days. Leaving 2/3.

Hey I would check your planner and see if you can make reservations for the shows.  It seems the policy has changed and they request for you to make reservations before you go.  Anyways let us know how it works and what happens if you didn't reserve ahead of time.

They should really contact people who already purchased.  I suspect the terms changed for everyone including people who already purchased  given the terms also say they change them whenever they feel like it.  They're going to have some grumpy people on their hands if they don't reserve in advance because they thought they didn't have to.

I agree, just checked mine and only mention is when you click on the details for the KEY under the Internet and More options and you can see the changes there.

I have plenty of time, but those leaving this weekend, hope they know to do this.

  9. I really think they are asking for reservations to be made so they can get an idea of seats to hold for shows.  You will still have access the "Key" seats, they just want a better idea.  If there were no reservations, then 100 people could show up for a show looking for their reserved seats in the special section.  That plus holding seats for the Suites and higher, seems unrealistic.

I guess they all could be released 15 mins prior if only 30 people show up, but still that is taking a lot of seats out of inventory so to speak without any confirmations.

Make a reservation, holds a seat for you, and I am also sure you can do this on board as well.  Just showing up might not work on the OASIS class as those shows are super busy and people line up for a crazy amount of time.

I was on the INDY last year and never had any problem walking into theater or Studio B with 10 mins to go and getting a great seat.  It was almost always full, but never had a problem.  Maybe I was lucky, but I do plan this Summer on the Symphony to make reservations to hold my "key" seats.

    Cheers !!

Just an fyi - the key for the symphony cruise sailing 9/21/19 now appears to be sold out. Surprised that it is this far in advance. We bought ours a few weeks ago.

That seems odd, maybe it will come back again closer in to the 90 days out.  I am wondering if the limit is truly 100 KEYs for all ships, Oasis class as well?

We will be using the KEY next week on the Symphony. I will review.  Very excited!

Let us know about how it is on the Symphony.  We are booked for July and I purchased the Key without seeing all these posts.

Glad I did, I know it was a splurge,  there are four of us (2 teens), and WIFI was going to be the surprise add on, so this made sense for the extra $$.
