  1. I would think that only badges (patches) issued through the Girl Scouts would be allowed on one's GS sash. And I would doubt that any of those would be concerning a specific business' date=' only skills that you might prove as mentioned in one post above.[/quote']

Fun patches from places you visit are allowed on the back of the girls' sashes. Sometimes the leaders request that only fun patches earned as a troop be put on though. The official Girl Scout rule is that fun patches are okay on the BACK. Ask your leader your troop's stand on the issue before putting them on. Girls in my troop are allowed any fun patches on the back of their uniforms. If you get lots of patches, you may want to consider putting them on a tote. This makes a great memory piece.

  2. Do you have the Brownie Girl Scout Guide? There should be descriptions of all badges she can earn. My daughter is a Senior Girl Scout and she completed some of her requirements for her Traveler badge, such as budgeting for a vacation and researching destinations. Brownies can earn badges for Hiker and Making Friends. There is also a Money Manager badge for Brownies. I am not sure of the requirements, but they sound like badges she can work on while on vacation. Also, you can buy fun patches at the places you visit to put on the back of her vest/sash.
