  1. We are sailing out of Brooklyn Red Hook cruise port on the MSC Meraviglia on July 9. We are seniors but taking our 10 year old grandson. We are coming from Massachusetts so we are trying to decide on parking at pier or taking Amtrak day before and stay in NY City without breaking the bank. How safe is our car at cruise port. We could stay in CT day before and then drive to the port. My husband is concerned if when we arrive if there is no parking available what will we do. Any suggestions or advice would be great.

  2. We are leaving out of Brooklyn NY Red Hook cruise terminal and can’t find much info on park sleep and fly which most cruise ports have. I imagine because it is NY that there isn’t any. My travel agent can only find transfers from JFK and it is $44 each way=$264, which seems pricey. We are debating just driving to the port and parking at the pier. Parking at the pier is $240. We are coming from Massachusetts so not interested in flying. This is our first cruise with MSC, and we are bringing our 10 year old grandson. We are both seniors so don’t feel comfortable with public transportation. Thanks for any info that you can give me.

  3. We just booked an August 29 2021 cruise on the Rotterdam with our FCC from our March 21 canceled cruise, so disappointed. We have no idea if another HAL ship will do this itinerary, it was 17 days to Maine, Canada, Newfoundland and Greenland from Boston. Before we booked this cruise I had spoken to someone at HAL customer service about the Rotterdam being sold and she said definitely not. Hopefully we will get some clarification soon. The Veendam was one of our favorites too because of the size and we have taken 4 cruises on it.

  4. Has anyone had an issue with Holland America issuing FCC or refunds. We had a 28 day cruise on March 21 that was canceled. We have not been able to contact Holland America guest relations because they just have a answering machine that tells you to email them. I did talk to my agent and he said it could be another 3 months. Our refund or credit is being held up and no-one can give me any answers. Has anyone else who was suppose to take the Oosterdam on March 21 received a refund/FCC. I find the lack of communication with the cruise line frustrating. I have emailed the cruise line numerous times with no answer. Does anyone have any suggestions?
