This is our family’s chance to give back to the community. Enjoy sharing our journey with us.
We are a family of four, two teen boys and the DW and I.
I proposed to DW on a 3/4 day Carnival Bahamas cruise and our honeymoon 20 years ago was a 7 day Grand Princess Eastern Caribbean Cruise (while she was only a year old and the largest cruise ship).
So all that said we are planning on enjoying the suite life in a RS for both our 20th anniversary and our youngest son’s 13th birthday!
Excitement made real this morning as I woke up just in time to see Equinox enter Port Everglades
More to follow... Cheers!

By the way, very impressed with the robes, worth asking for and leaving a little space in your luggage.
We are excited about the robes and glad to know it is still an available PH/RS perk! Did confirm with Zoey of Shoreside Concierge that they must be requested on board.
Interesting that many room 1612 folks are reading and posting to your thread, ourselves included (Oct 25th sailing).

Chemmo, curious if you would share what room you were in on deck 11?
Also would you share your preference for port/starboard on Equinox?
So very grateful for your sharing the amazing amount of detail in your review, wishing you all the best on future adventures.

Looks like a nice selection. I have just asked our butler to drop back from two tasty plates left in the fridge to one....there really is only so much food you can manage!
That is pure awesomeness... wow, just wow!

This thread has so much useful information! Regarding the robes, I can see that some were getting wasted but perhaps Celebrity should put a note in the suite saying they are available on request. We shouldn’t have to chase them down. And only Cruise Critic readers would actually even know to do this. This system will work for us as I am looking forward to mine but my husband could care less.
what a wonderful idea to get the Murano cheese plate to go. We will definitely being doing this in December.
I am so very glad I brought up the subject of robes... spoke with Zoe of Shoreside Concierge... and told her the wonderful things we’ve all had to say about her (made her day).. and she is also checking on this.
I’m so grateful to have all of you contributing you wisdom and am really enjoying this detailed review of a current cruising experience in an RS doing a lot of the things that I have researched and planned for my 20 year anniversary wife and two boys in late October also in a RS!

Love your posts... making us very excited about our first Celebrity cruise which will be in a Royal Suite on 11th floor of Equinox at the end of October!
Curious to know if in your RS you had custom monogrammed robes that are yours as souvenirs after the cruise?
Also, because you are in RS often, curious to know where you store large main suitcases?
We also have heard from you and others about preparing an information/confirmation sheet to be provided to different staff (butlers, Waiter), would anyone have an example they can post.
Many thanks and enjoy the remaining time on your wonderful adventure on the high seas!

We are trying a Private Journey this October in Puerto Rico.
Main reason for us was that the ship arrives at 3:30 pm on a Sunday and our family of 4 with 2 teens wanted to go to Mass and get a tour fit in as well.
Also this will be the first cruise and first foreign country for our teens.
It is expensive but seems to solve the logistical problems and as another poster mentioned it also means that we are not left stranded because this is arranged by Celebrity.
Hoping for the best!

Does anybody know if the Royal Suites on Equinox door or room sign have a way to permit tastefully displaying small banner (magnetic or non)? What have you done in the past?
We have two celebrations on our next cruise and looking at doing something creatitive.

Special Delivery is the name I see for this service... (from another post) shoreside concierge will e-mail a placard to you for the driver to put in the window enabling them to pull up right at the entrance. A Celebrity rep will verify that you are in the RS and there will be a porter to take your luggage and you will be escorted to a separate area to check in and board.

I'd leave the hotel at 9:45. Boarding time is irrelevant. Get to the terminal around 10. Easy check-in and hang out in the terminal until they call for boarding. No crowds, relaxed, etc. We do it every time including with Celebrity.
Why would you show up at 11:30 for priority boarding when the ship has already boarded priority by that time!? That makes no sense. Definitely shoot for entering the terminal at 10AM.
Just the details I was looking for... many thanks!
Any other thoughts?
Did learn of special PH and RS benefit of special drop off and luggage valet... anyone else have details about this especially with 10 am terminal arrival ( we are in RS)?

Cheers to all helpful cruisers!
Driving from Embassy Suites on 17th to Port Parking Garage in Late October for a Celebrity Cruise with 11:30 am boarding time.
Have Suite and priority boarding.
What time would you suggest leaving?
