Is this "ribbon" bracelet removable for when spending time in the cabin (such as sleeping)?

It's a rubber bracelet from what I've seen of vloggers on RCCL ships the past couple months. You know like the "live strong" and "WWJD" rubber colored bracelets. Why would you take it off, just to forget to put it back on?

  2. Back in 2001, on our honeymoon we were on the Voyager of the Seas. Our excursion was late coming back. There were several of us and there the ship was with everyone yelling at us. Lucky for us it was a RC excursion and a lot of us walking back. Needless to say, we have never been late again. Casio G-shock for the win!! 🙂

    No.

Not on all ships. Not on all voyages. It's serendipitous. Best course of action is to ask at the bars. Ask and ask and ask.

^^this - We always picks a bar and stick with them throughout the cruise. Make friends with the bartenders and waiters. We were on the Oasis a couple of years ago and they gave us all kinds of good info by the 4th day.

They called rooms ready at 12:45 so we headed to deck 11 where a long line of people were waiting for the door to open. No one had actually tried to open the door though :).

Room is fine- I just sailed Anthem in April and this bathroom is certainly smaller for those that it matters. I booked 45 days ago. Took a neighborhood balcony guarantee. Ended up on deck 11 close to aft with a very good view of the ocean. I’m sure we would have enjoyed a regular ocean balcony better, but this was $800 less as they were running a neighborhood balcony guarantee for $899 and an ocean view balcony was $1399. We ended up with $550 obc between rcl (150), ta (300), and myVEGAS (100). Used most of that to purchase deluxe beverage. We get one night speciality from our TA (thinking of trying 150 Central Park unless someone tells me otherwise). Also get a dinner at Johnny rockets because we were assigned a boardwalk cabin. I’m satisfied with the price paid as oasis class prices don’t move as much as others I track.imageproxy.php?img=&key=b5ec9cff05c76377

Verdict is out on the boardwalk balcony cabin. Right now the boardwalk is empty because it’s pouring.

150 Central Park is A LOT of food. We went there a couple of years ago and after the first two courses, we were done. Everything was good but just A LOT. I hate wasting food but I just couldn't eat anymore.

Just to let you know, if by "cruise approved" power adapters you are referring to the "Cruise On" "cruise approved" multi-outlet and USB hub, then don't take this on any cruise ship.  While their advertising states the device is "not surge protected", their own photo of the back of the unit shows it has a "VPN=800volts".  VPN is a measure of surge protection quality.  Surge protectors should not be used on any ship.  Very few devices that combine power outlets and USB ports are not surge protected.  A simple outlet splitter for power use, and a multi-USB hub are the best way to go.

I got the UBB hub but my only concern is the cord. Will it be confiscated because it has a cord? I also got a European adapter. We think we will just use that. It has two USB ports and one electrical port.

So Royal does not use the cancel opportunity to re-price the cruise and to reduce the probability that the stateroom will be changed because of an occupancy requirement.

Royal has been known to re-price your booking at the current rates if you call to cancel the 2nd person and it could end up costing you a lot more.  If the person is a no show you wll get their port fees and taxes credited back to you

    Edit  Typed too slowly

Good to know. Thank you. I won't cancel him but I'm an internal optimist, unlike my sister. He'll be there, I paid for their cruise. 🙂

  7. I recently watched a 2018 room review for the Allure of the Seas. In this gentlemen's review, he showed the US power outlet on the vanity but I didn't see anything regarding the European outlets in the room. Does anyone have pictures to share of all the outlets? I have read that now that RCCL is confiscating the "cruise approved" extra power adapters (without cord) and was looking into taking a European converter adapter instead.

I also read that just taking a USB power adapter is better and cruise compliant. Sorry to beat a dead horse here but I have a large wedding party going in September 2019 (my daughter is getting married on the Allure) and several are first-time cruisers and were asking me. I just don't know.

All of our party has a Balcony stateroom (eight rooms). TIA

I completely get the OP's disappointment and upset. We (DH and I) are very much the out and about the ship type so we would never spend money on a balcony because it would just be a waste, but we do still want a window. We are fine with the promenade view insides for that reason but I feel uncomfortable with the idea of a "real" inside because I think it would be like sleeping in a cupboard. Never tried one, though, so I could be wrong...

I get it, and I hate elevators but I sleep with the covers over my head, so it doesn't bother me at all and it's super quiet (we take a small portable fan to create some white noise). We really don't stay in the room much with my previous exceptions but to each their own. Be excited you're going on a cruise and have a place to lay your head at night. I guess I'm just overly grateful for the things I have compared to the things that most don't have in the world. I still want to hear what she thinks of her cruise. I hope she's having fun.

  9. I just want to know with the disappointment of having an interior instead of a window, if she enjoyed the cruise. Considering most don't spend a lot of time in the rooms with the exception of showering, sleeping and changing clothes, I don't see what the big deal is. I've had several types of rooms and they've all been enjoyable. I hope she's had or is having a great time. Give us an update Suemorganrose.
