  1. My cruise departs from Southampton on Saturday July 9. I am flying from California to London on Wednesday July 6. The current requirement for my cruise is to get a negative covid test within 3 days before travel. If I get tested in California the morning of Wednesday July 6 (which is the afternoon of Wednesday July 6 in London), will that present any problems since the test result will be in the California timezone (although the timezone isn't explicitly listed, and in absolute terms it's within 3 days before the cruise)?

  2. I am going on the Sky Princess this July - a 14 day cruise that departs from and returns to Southampton, England. The last 4 days of the cruise are as follows:

    • Gdansk, Poland
    • At Sea
    • At Sea
    • Southampton, England (disembark)

I am thinking of disembarking the cruise early in Poland and flying home to the US from there. Is this allowed by Princess? If so, do I need to notify Princess ahead of time?

  3. My cruise (Sky Princess) docks at Mayflower Cruise Terminal at 7am on Saturday 7/23. I'm thinking of booking a 12:20pm flight to the US from LHR but have heard this is risky. In general, would it be possible to self disembark from the ship and get onto a private car by 8am? Then arrive at LHR by (hopefully) 10am, leaving 2 hrs 20 mins before flight departure?

Also, separately from the above question, does anyone have recommendations for private car transfer to and from London <-> Southampton for a group of 8? I've checked out a few of the mentioned services and many seem to max out at 4 passengers.

They offer per-day (or cruise-long) packages for both the new MedallionNet and the old PrincessConnect.

PrincessConnect offers three packages with three speeds (social, surf, stream) while MedaliionNet offers a single package, high speed for for all users (subject to the limitations Haboob listed above).

This is on the Emerald Princess?? So the new MedallionNet has already been activated on the Emerald?

  5. Some posters seem to be saying that MedallionNet is already available on the Emerald Princess: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2606140-emerald-princess-2019-drydock/page/4/

On Princess Cruise's website, MedallionNet will be available on the Emerald by August 3rd. But when we try to book an internet access package online, no options show up for our cruise departing on July 6th. I tried contacting support and they just gave a generic answer about wifi availability so it wasn't much help.

Is anyone currently on-board the Emerald and can confirm whether MedallionNet is already available on the ship?
