I have not stayed at the Hard Rock but we loved Dreams La Romana in the Dominican Republic. We mix it up with all inclusives and cruises. Dreams had the most beautiful beach of all the places we have been. Food was good and it was easy to into all the restaurants.

I cruised on her Oct 14-21 - I was on 7 and everything except that smoky casino smelled fine! It was my first time on her and I would sail her again - had a great time.

Last time I had a flight like that we took an Uber to the nearest rent a car place - rented for the day and returned the car to the airport location rent a car place. It was only $60 or so. Check prices online - might be the cheapest way to go.

Frog Island Ice Tea from the Red Frog - they are blue

I was told by a bartender on the Vista that if I order Grey Goose in my Bloody Mary I would get one shot and a regular bloody mary would have 2 shots. Not sure if this is true everywhere. One shot was fine with me since it is way before noon when I drink them on my cruises!!!

Dollar store ponchos in case of rain before, after or at a port on your cruise! We keep them them in an outside luggage pocket. Use if you have to and toss.

We used Uber in NOLA and had no problems at all. We used it to get from the airport to our hotel in the Warehouse/Convention area then after the cruise from the port back to the airport.
I have also taken a tour from Free Tours By Foot - had a nice experiace with them too. My teen loves ghost tours.
NOLA is my favorite port. We walked everywhere - had great food at all the places we ate.
I have been on a lot of cruise ships - am going on the Dream again - the only ship I will have sailed on twice! I found the Vista to be larger than I like - Dream is just right.

We were on RC Liberty of the Sea over spring break and did get turned away after dinner the first night with one on my neices - club was full. My sister ran them to the clubs as soon as they finished their dinner the rest of the cruise - then she came back to the table. I don't know if Carnival has a limit on number of kids.

I cruise in 15 days and just got a marketing email from Carnival today saying FTTF is available. This is on the Vista.
-
I have stayed at the Dreams Resort there and loved it. The public beach down from the resort had Carnival cruisers there - that beach was not very nice - had bathrooms and that was about it. I'm staying onboard the Vista next month when we stop there.
-
Im sailing with you too! I got an email today - Grand Turk out and Amber Cove is in.

We have cruised on both. I think you should try Freedom of the Sea or Liberty of the Sea. The shows are better on RC but the casual food on Carnival is better. I think the dining room food is the same. Since you have been on the Breeze the two I suggested are the closest to compare. I think you will find you like both cruise lines!

I alway keep dollar store ponchos in my suitcase no mater where I go - one for each member of the family. Was great to have on a rainy day in NOLA the day before our Dream cruise. Use and toss.

We always go when they first open and they sit us by the window - just ask for a window view. My teen wants to get dinner over with so she can go do her thing the rest of the night!
-
We stayed at the Springhill Suites Downtown/Convention Center. We wheeled our bags to the port - wasn't far. We stayed Thurday and Friday nights - Thursday was $129 but Friday was $199.

I'm in Indiana and our schools have break the last 2 weeks in March. I cruised last spring break out of Galveston on RC Liberty of the Sea and we did have a lot of kids. We had to rush early dinner to get the kids in the kids club each evening before they filled up. Don't go in March if you don't want a bunch of kids!
-
Those are the 2 weeks our public schools here in Indiana have spring break. We cruised this past March out of Texas and there were a lot of kids. If you do not want a bunch of kids on your ship do not cruise at that time - been there - done that!
-
I booked IG on the Freedom cruise I was on a few weeks ago - we ended up on deck 7 - worked out good for us!
-
I can not tell you anything about the Breeze but I sailed the Liberty of the Sea in March for spring break and the Carnival Freedom this month for fall break. I liked the Liberty of the Sea best. The kids parade and ice show - all shows really - were better. The pool area is better for kids - they have a splash area that is close to the main pool. My nieces who are 8 and 10 could play back and forth while we sat at the main pool. My 13 year old had a blast in both kids clubs - she said she likes both!

I found it worth the money. We would drink at the pool all day then go by the Alchemy bar on the way to dinner to get a drink to take with us. The drinks they made were wonderful! We did not however care for the coffee bar - it was no Starbucks. We did not do long shore excursions and were on the ship most of the 7 days - that is another factor to consider. I am glad I tried it and plan to buy it again next time.

My 13 year old daughter and I returned from our Fall Break on the Freedom last Saturday. She had such a great time with her new friends from Circle C that she talked me into booking the Dream for Spring Break.

I used Cruise Connection last week to get from Hobby to the port - had wonderful service and would use them again. I had family in the area pick me up but my girlfriend took them back to Hobby and again had no problem.
The cost was $20 per person.

We booked inside GTY and ended up in the middle of the ship on Deck 7. We also got an upsale call offer to a balcony room for $350 more. We didn't take it - using our money for Cheers instead!
Cheers - specific questions
