Thanks so very much for your input....I have emailed our hotel in the Plaka inquiring about pharmacies within  walking distance...They said that there were plenty and DID  NOT REQUIRE an appointment....

Fingers crossed that all is a moot point before Oct. 26th when we depart for our amazing journey!

In response to my “phone call to Azamara”  I handed that task over to my cruise broker….his findings were….”there have been no changes as of yet”

I find this interesting….as we have boots on the ground so to speak and they contradict each other! Ugh!

"btw, it is also my understanding that we will be needing a visa for either Egypt or Israel….I was informed that Azamara will do this for us once on board …for a fee of course.  
Has anyone tried to do this on-line?

If so….please give the details!

When will the “Greek authorities” make an announcement …it is still on the list of countries that “require”:either a PCR (3 days prior to sailing) or Antigen ( 1 day ahead);which I am assuming Is 24hrs. prior to embarkation…..

Unfortunately, there are no flights that can accommodate us after our return to Athens from our Azamara cruise  as they all leave at 6:15 a.m..  etc.  We find it necessary to stay overnight .... due to a 11:00 a.m. flight prefer to stay close to the airport!

Any hotel recommendations are greatly appreciated!

We just returned from Venice as well.....Your 1:15 flight is do-able.  You will be the first one off!

Just tell them what time your flight is..they will accomodate!

It has been awhile since we have gone through Amsterdam....If memory serves me correctly, this was fairly seemless....then again, this is SUCH DIFFERENT TIMES!

we are flying Delta.  we arrive at 7:45 a.m.   with a 9:15 departure to Venice.

Will be traveling the first week of August on the Connie.....

We have a transfer in Amsterdam, can you tell me what the procedure is once you get off the plane...do you go right to your next flight?

Clearly I misspoke…..I have had the wonderful chance to go on 30+ cruises…we love venturing out into the Villages of the various islands and injecting some revenue into their economy.  I throughly enjoy speaking to the locals and learning about their culture…

When we signed up for this we we fully knowledgeable about its “ fluidity”

If anything we have leaned from this past year is to take each day as it comes….

so, my question is, if we purchase a celebrity excursion (just to enable not to be prisoners on the ship)…how much time prior  to the time of departure does one need to cancel?

I believe that the only port that only allows Celebrity excursions is Barbados…however, we ALL know this is all vey liquid….not even sure what ports we are going to….scary…but that’s ok! I am on a cruise!

We will be cruising on the Summit on August 7 for one week…has any one experience local vendors at the ports?
