Thank you all for keeping this blog going. We are on the next cruise Feb 19. Is anyone staying on board to cruise with us?
-
Are the culinary classes still demo only?
-
So what's going on on the ship? Everything working out ok? Food is good? Specialty restaurants open? Ports open?
-
Do they really do daily PCR tests and does everyone have a contract tracing device to wear?
-
I am hoping the new people on the boat will post. I am cruising Feb 19 and I want to know to read the "news".

Is someone going to keep this thread going?

Thanks for the pics. I was on an Oceania cruise Papeete to Papeete March 2020.We were on our way to Bora Bora and had to turn around and go back to Papeete because of the covid shutdown. Bummer. We did get a Future Cruise credit but I was so disappointed. Had to fly back home from Faa.

We have decided to continue go on the February 19 cruise. Thank you all for your great comments. I think everything will be just fine and we will have a nice time.

My cabin/bathroom (9135) on the Riviera will be bigger than a similar cabin on Regetta?
I was on the Regatta two years ago in March in French Polynesia. We turned around half way thru the cruise because of covid to go back to Papeete port. We were on our way to Bora bora. Bummer but got a 50% FCC. So here we are trying it again next month.
1 hour ago, Flatbush Flyer said:Though it is a bit more noticeable on R ships than O ships, R cabins just aft of the rear elevators and O cabins midway aft of the rear elevators (like 8031) are either side of the stack. Some vibration, associated with a seemingly harmonic convergence of engine/shaft/et al. conditions occasionally will be noticeable in the hallways. Though not just based on speed, I’ve noticed it mostly at speeds exceeding 17 knots.

We were in 8131 on the 12/23 cruise, which is almost directly below 9135. I would expect a lot of engine vibration when underway, but the rock and roll was no problem.
Thank you the rock and roll bothers me more than engine vibration. We are planning to take the cruise no matter if the entertainment is lacking or they skip ports. Just hope O does not cancel.

Can someone tell me about cabin #9135? We are on the February 19 cruise. I think it is towards the aft. Hopefully it will not be too much rock and roll.

Thank you for your updates. We are on the Feb 19 cruise to Mexico ports. So I follow what is going on Riviera. We decided to go ahead and take the cruise. So we are anxious to hear how it goes. Sounds like the captain means business about following covid protocols. I am happy to hear that. Scary times these are.

Thank you for doing all these posts. We are sailing on Feb 19th on the Riviera for the first time. (western Caribbean and Mexico)
We are worried about getting quarantined and changing the ports or worse skipping ports. Your travel log and pictures are making us feel better.
Please keep up documenting your cruise. So beautiful and good info. Thanks.
