Michele Tuvo was the captain on my Hawaii cruise on the Star. He is great. He is the most personable captain I have sailed with. He was everywhere around the ship. He even served passengers in the international cafe. I really enjoyed sailing with him.

I was on the same cruise. Luckily I had no problems with my bed. I agree with you about the captain. He was great. I saw him serving passengers in the international cafe on a couple of sea days. I did have a great time on the cruise.

I cancelled and rebooked my hotel because of the promotion. It's now a nonrefundable payment,but my reservation is for a little over a month,so I will not be cancelling. I saved $100 for 2 nights so it was worth it.

Can anyone recommend a safe hotel for a single women in ft Lauderdale? I am looking for a hotel with free airport transportation and a shuttle to the pier if possible. Thanks in advance.

I did this excursion on my Emerald cruise last February. It is a long day. This is one excursion to book with Princess. We were supposed to be back on the ship by 3:30 as the ship was set to sail at 4pm. We didn't get back until close to 4pm. The whole ferry coming back was Princess passengers so they waited for us. I did enjoy getting to see the ruins. The ferry ride to and from the mainland was very rough. To me the long distance to get there was worth it.

I didn't think of that. He could have thought I was going to the airport for a flight not a cruise. The story gets better in that when I was flying home another hotel shuttle driver dropped me off at terminal E. I gave up my seat the day before so all I had was my carry on. At least it was easy to get to the right terminal with the inter terminal train.

I was told by princess to go to terminal C. My hotel shuttle driver tried to teller to get off at terminal A. I made him take me to terminal C. I did the same thing before my emerald cruise in February and it worked out great.

I am flying into IAH. The cruise departs from bayport. I have not decided how I am getting to the pier yet. I am considering a cab.

Can anyone recommend a good safe hotel for a woman traveling alone? I am thinking about staying in Houston the night before my cruise.

I am thinking about an Alaska cruise in 2015. I have not decided yet. This will be my first cruise to Alaska as well as my first cruise in 7 years. I am undecided between princess and celebrity. I he cruised with princess but not celebrity.
