  1. Several years ago we were on Carnival and I was somehow able to correspond with my sister via email but not using the wifi but I did something on Carnival boards or something like that. There was no charge. I can't remember how I did it. I do remember that anyone would be able to access it but that isn't an issue for me as it would just be to say "hi" and tell them my elderly parents are find with us on the cruise. Can anyone provide information? I have no reason for wanted to use the internet while away. Looking forward to to the media break. Just wanting to let our family know we are well. TY

  2. A couple weeks ago we were unable to take our cruise as our outbound flight to Orlando was cancelled due to mechanical problems. I reached out to my fellow cruise critic follwers concerning the carnival protection plan which we purchased. I had several responds, some supportive and others critizing my lack of homework sort to speak when purchasing the insurance. I am now in the process of rescheduling a cruise so now I am reaching out to my critics with insurance suggestions, tips etc. If suggesting purchasing insurance on my own, which company? Just as a side note, still do not know the outcome of my existing claim with Carnival protection.

  3. My DH has a drinks on us offer for casino. I do not. In regards to the 15 drink limit with Cheers, how does that work with drinks on us? Two separate entities or is it 15 combined? So if we get on the ship by 12ish and we have cheers, can we start ordering drinks on cheers at that time? Also as far as days go, are the drinks calculated from midnight to midnight.  Meaning if we are in casino or  one of the clubs after midnight do those drinks go toward the next day limit? Lastly, if you tip the casino servers well and I am playing side by side with DH will they get both of us libation? Sorry for all the questions. This would be our 1st time purchasing cheers.

  4. Instead of sitting on our Liberty balcony..we are home. Our super early am flight was cancelled yesterday with no options to get another plane in time. Mechanical issues on Frontier. Yes I know go the day before. For personal family issues could not. Today been going nuts back and forth with Carnival and Anon. Each says that the other is responsible for refund and maybe nothing more than tax and port taxes. I ask what is this travel insurance for if not for help with reimbursement?

  6. I know when boarding during embarkation and at ports, passengers go through a detector similar to airports. Does that take a picture of your body like the special macihines at airports or are they specifically picking up metal? I have a foot and shoulder full of plates and screws. Wonder if it will set it off. Typically doesn't at the airport.

  7. Thanks so much. We haven't sailed on Carnival for a few years. I hope this is something new and we didn't  miss out all the other times. Anyway, we leave on Liberty a week from today. Only 1 sea day but we will be sure to enjoy the brunch!
