  1. The daily deal thing can be a tease. Today with the $5 target gift card I missed the noon Pacific time and of course it always says all items are in carts for the rest of the day. Leaving the tab open during the day a few hours later I happened to glance at the screen and it had the green bar showing available. As soon as I went for my mouse it switched back to all in peoples' carts. So I decided to get on and post my experience. As I was going through the posts right now to get the recent freebie points posts before writing my story I noticed the green available bar show up again for the target card. This time I clicked it in time but next it shows in my cart but with a red bar above telling me Product has been sold out. Please remove it in order to continue checkout ;-(

  2. Just placed my first gift card order for $700 worth a couple days ago. The status on the cards now says shipped but it lists the tracking method at miscellaneous with nothing under tracking. I read if its over $500 they do UPS (or was it fed ex) signature required. I wonder why they haven't listed any tracking info?

I don't know first hand, but I do seem to recall people on the forum talking about being charged a small fee for using their S&S at the table games.

Once thing I do know, if you insert your S&S card into a slot machine, you can transfer funds to your Player's Bank to play with, without a fee. But if you're going to do this, then cash out, be sure to spin the slot once or twice to look like you're playing. Otherwise they know people use 10% off gift cards, but use the slots to cash out the full amount.

Was just thinking about this, when you say transfer to the players bank that's just for the machine? Guess I'd have to still cash the voucher with the cashier before going to a table game so I actually would be just cashing out or is this somehow interlinked and transferable to the tables from the slots so there is no cashing out?

I'm planning on playing... the tables, not the slots. Hopefully they won't mind if I cash out and go to the table. I guess if I do this once or twice and they look at me funny i can play a couple spins at the slots next time. I'm actually planning on playing and not just straight profiting from the cards, hopefully they won't care

Maybe it's different if a gift card is on your account. But I don't know if they have a way of knowing how your account is funded or not. I don't remember how mine was funded the time I did it. I just thought that fee was if you charged it to your S&S account. It was about three years ago that I did it.

This is what I found on the website, it's talking about cash advances using a credit card at the casino, it sounds like directly from the card there and no mention of the S&S so this may be different. Can anyone else confirm what they charge in the casino for using credit from your S&S?

"Guests may use their credit card or debit card to acquire a cash advance at the Casino Cashier's Window. Global Cash Access (GCA) provides this service, provided that the guest has an available limit on their credit card or available monies in their checking account that the debit card is drawn on.

For this service, GCA charges 5.5% of the value of the cash advance requested or a flat fee of $5.50 if the amount requested is $100 or less."

  6. So far I have gone through about half the pages in this post entering all the codes I can find in to my account. I just got this email from AR with a code that I thought I had come across and put in but when I tried it I got the 1k points:

    WELCOME2AR          1000

I think that's right. I only play tables and don't take money off of my card for that because it's time consuming and they charge (3% I think) for that at table games. But slots I think you can download it right to the machine for no fee.

I'm planning on table here. Did not know about that fee, I saw on the website they charge 5.5% to get cash off your credit card but was hoping for no fee if it's already loaded to the S&S. I guess I could get the credit in the slot, cash out and use the voucher for table play? Guess if I'm up 10% on these gift cards then I'm still ahead with 3% off

    BLACKFRIYAY for 1000 points.

Hi, brand new to cruise critic, joined because of this forum. I found it searching for Carnival discounts to apply to an upcoming cruise. Thanks for all this info and codes. I just joined Alstate rewards yesterday and already have 26k points, rest of my cruise payments are going to be 10% off! And from what I can tell you can load this onto your S&S account and anything in that account can be gambled in the casino? Is this correct? Not bad if you get 10% freeplay

Also after seeing the last post I figured I'd try the holiday straight up:

    BLACKFRIDAY            1000 points
