I have read here that Edge cabins have individual routers but not sure - perhaps someone can confirm?

I can confirm that Deck 10 AquaClass  rooms (check two) have individual routers.  They are located in the rounded corner closet with all the shelves, where the decorative coral with a light is, as you pass the bathroom.

I can confirm you can indeed stream movies.   I brought my Roku with me and watched many things on both Netflix as well as YouTube TV.  This was both in the Med and on the TA.   My experience was different than yours and found it to be one of the strongest most stable internet in the fleet.

I will confirm that we too were able to watch Netflix, Hulu, and YouTubeTV (all dependent on if the country allows it) using the ships Wi-Fi internet package.  Netflix was the best with less HD to SD lag.

And we too enjoyed watching a show before going to bed and sometimes just sitting on the back of the ship sipping on a few cold ones enjoying a movie when we didn't like the poolside events.

Will be sailing on the Edge, second time March 15th- following along with you.  My only negative comment about our previous Edge sailing was a bad sewer smell by the martini bar a few days when we docked- is that problem gone?

Was on the Edge the last two weeks of January 2020 and it was not there.

I was laughing that they sell faberge eggs. Cant imagine there is alot of cruisers looking to pick up faberge eggs on a caribbean cruise.

Was on there the last 2 weeks of January 2020 and one of those Faberge Eggs had a "SOLD" sign beside it; forget if week 1 or 2.

Tiffany's had a several "lookyloos" and a purchase or two happen while we were waiting for the Blu to open and heading to the Eden for acoustic guitar entertainment.

The Coach and jewelry store next to the casino held a party and viewing that seemed to go over very well for most of one night.  My FIL ended up buying a watch due to leaving his at home and my MIL got a bracelet too; got the cheapest they could find and still wasn't cheap.

As for the duty free shop (or whatever they called it), not a single thing in there was worth a purchase and disappointed.

As a vodka drinker I can comment: Tito's is popular because it's pretty good for cheap vodka, and by cheap I mean a tier above Smirnoff. It's probably popular on Celebrity because it's arguably the best unflavored vodka on the Classic package (Though Absolut is good also) It's also American made if that means anything...

I highly prefer Ketel One to Tito's as well as just about every other vodka on the Premium list, but taste is subjective.

Thats good to know as non-vodka drinker. Didn’t realize that Ketel one was even on the ship

When ordering specify premium brand.  Do not assume they are giving you premium brand because this is what your package says.  Trust me on this!

Preach. preach preach it brother.  The amount of times they attempted to pass off Rye as Double Oak made me start going to the bar and watch what they pour

  7. Bourbon drinker here. Woodford Double Oak is the best they have on board with the premium package. Please note it is only served select locations on each ship and not sitting out in plain sight ( confirmed this with others on board this week about past cruises and other top shelf liquors).  You may have press to find/get it but the guest services will get someone to let you know where it is served when asked

As for Vodka, Tito’s seems to be a popular one with folks I have met at the bars  But I don’t drink it so take that with a grain of salt.

  8. Just completed our first week of a b2b on Edge as Aqua Class, as first time cruisers, and we like the IV concept over the sliding glass door room build that we’ve seen on so many other ships while in port. While my in-laws who are frequent cruise ship sailors have mixed feelings (one hates the ship layout and the other likes the room layout with a mixed bag of thoughts about the rest of it). We have the bed next to the IV and that is an amazing feeling in throughout the day to have, as my in-laws are jealous about this. The only negative we found was you need a flipping user manual to figure out the shower controls the first day. HINT: Look behind the lower knob for a stem , as that controls On/Off for water. The lower knob controls Hot/Cold water, and the top knob controls which shower head water comes out

The cabanas seem to be wasted space as the area is nothing but a huge wind tunnel with a limited appeal to us.  Along with stores fronts being nothing more than “eye candy” as almost everything and be purchased on the land for a better price.  Will admit we purchased a watch with some on board credits due to FnLaw leaving his at home.   Also duty free store left my in-laws shaking there head as they were caught off guard by the merchandise and liquor being as expensive and most cases more expensive than on land

Dinning was amazing and a pleasure where ever we ate. If anyone is weighing the cost difference for Aqua, the private dinning, service, and attention to detail offered at The Blu is Amazing. Cannot emphasize how nice the entire staff there is.  The entire cruise staff (minus 1 server) have been above our expectations, as they and we have learned each other’s names and a little about she other’s backgrounds

NOTE:  If the bar does not have a brand of alcohol that is listed on your package, do not accept this, ask the bar to get it or ask where it is served, and if it is not resolved speak with guest services immediately to find out how to get what you paid for. One thing I will briefly touch on as a negative is the premier drink package that I wrote about last week in having problems finding Woodford Double Oak. It did not show up at any of the four bars it was supposed to be at (Eden , Martini, The Club, and Casino) until Thursday at ONLY the Martini bar after  we  spoke to the lady over the entire bar network on board. I am going to see if she fulfills her word to me about availability on this weeks cruise before I give a full account of the problems that occurred. Again, my first sentence of this paragraph would have resolved so much if I had just spoke up earlier on my cruise

    Have you tried Eden Bar?

That might be a better shot for it...

We were able to get The Macallan there...

    Cheers and bon voyage

We have not and that is what the Mrs and I were thinking.  The club and Eden seem to be where I need to go.  We have drank at Eden but I was not looking for it then. Wish it was more prevalent through out but still have 12 days worth of sailing to get to know the bartenders/servers and they I.

Will report when when I find it

  10. Day 2 and have yet to find either of these bourbons. Magic carpet, Martini Bar, bar on Deck 16, and Ocean Cafe have all been DONT Have.  So where are they hiding the good stuff?

Got the guys on deck 16 to dig a bullet rye out of the back for me, but that’s been the only successful bourbon/whiskey adventure. Props to them as they were fun to be around

With the IV cabin, just in case you do not know, there are doors which can be closed which shuts the IV off from the rest of the cabin.

There are controls for the window AND blinds which will be in the shut off area OR you can control them vis-a-vis the app.

    bon voyage

Thanks for this information.  First time going on a cruise will be on the Edge in a week and this has been a question for us.  Does shutting of the IV doors allow the AC to continue running in the cabin?
