    Good news

After sending a 3rd email to Azamara, and posting our experience on this helpful discussion group, we have received a full refund.  The refund came in 3 random amounts, but they do total all funds paid.  Thank you for sharing your stories.  Hopeful everyone received their refunds and we can get cruising again real soon.

Hi kcbates - we were to be on the same cruise. We received a refund of our shore excursions weeks before the cruise cost was refunded. The fare was refunded in 3 payments - but all on the same date - one equated to the deposit, with the other 2 adding up to final payment we made. Sorry you haven't been fully reimbursed yet - I really hope you get sorted soon.

    Lynn

    Thanks Lynn

  3. Partial refund

Has anyone else received a partial refund of the Journey trip from Singapore to Dubai that was scheduled for April 11?  We are still shorted $775.  The first refunds we received were in two separate amounts that did not equal any of the charges for our cruise.  We have not received any communication to explain the part refund calculations and are very curious if we will see the missing monies.  We did not cancel, rather we waited for Azamara to cancel.  We requested a full refund rather than FCC.  Curious is others are having a similar experience.

  4. Good news

We have rec'd 75% of our funds back for Journey leaving Singapore for Dubai on April 11.  We waited for the cruise line to cancel.  We made many calls to our TA and filed an audit with our credit card company.  I'm not sure if our time or efforts were the instrument to receive the partial refund...but feeling a little less stress.  Still waiting for 25% and not really sure why we are receiving little bits that do not have any correlation to the various charges for the cruise.  Less stress regardless.   Hoping everyone received their monies due very soon.

  5. Azamara refund letter of May 1 was just received. The letter advised us to anticipate our refund in 45 days, rather than the earlier projected 30 days.has anyone else received this for the April 8 Singapore to Dubai cruise on Azamara Journey?

  6. This is beyond belief.  All ports are closed including embark and debark for our cruise Singapore to Dubai on April 11...and the most recent Azamara update does not cancel the cruise....and Azamara is still selling tickets for this impossible cruise on their web sites.  Maybe I should be positive and realize I could not get this kind of amusing business planning lesson through another source. I think a university course could never teach me this creative customer management skill.

Gotta laugh.....it seems there is nothing else I can do

I’m on the Singapore -Dubai cruise as well.  I have every confidence that Azamara will make the decision as soon as they can, and in the worst case scenario, will make things right for their guests.  I just had to buy a second ticket to Singapore, as my original one connected through Hong Kong.  It’s all very frustrating, but I have faith Azamara will resolve this situation (which is not their fault), as best they can.  Still almost two months to go.

Thank you for the positive vibes. We too booked a second flight because we were scheduled to arrive via Beijing. I hoping that Azamara can come through.
