Hello Everyone

This will be our first ever cruise out of Port Canaveral (we usually leave out of Fort Lauderdale)

We are getting married on our cruise this year and a lot of family will be either flying or driving in the day before. We are looking to book a hotel that has shuttle service (TO AND FROM) the Airport and the Cruise Port. Preferably in/near the port but will take anywhere else if need be. 

Any recommendations would BE GREATLY appreciated 🙂

A person who was a passenger on a Japanese-operated cruise ship has tested positive for a new virus after leaving the ship in Hong Kong on Jan. 25.

The ship returned to Yokohama carrying 3,000 passengers and crew members after making port calls in Vietnam, Taiwan and Okinawa. A team of quarantine officials and medical staff boarded the ship on Monday night and began medical checks of everyone on board, a health ministry official said on condition of anonymity, citing department rules.

He said some people on the ship have developed coughs, fevers and other symptoms, though they were not yet linked to the virus. The passengers and crew members may be quarantined on the ship if the captain agrees to do so, the official said."

Im on Oasis right now and saw the crew steaming the hallway walls and handrails. Never seen that before. I asked the stateroom atendant and he said it was normal? Has anyone seen that before?

Well at least they are on top of things!

Side Note : The company I work for has been selling 5 times the amount of sanitizer products this past week.

"Across our fleet, boarding will be denied to guests or crewmembers who have traveled to the Hubei Province in China. Any guests who have transited through other regions in China in the past 14 days will receive secondary medical screenings to determine sailing eligibility. We have temporarily postponed the return of crewmembers who reside in China.

"We continue to closely monitor the situation and have contingency plans in place to react as necessary."

I wouldn't call it fear. More of a general stress. This trip has been booked for a year and a half. Counting down the days has been a long process haha. Getting this close and having something come up that could even delay it is generally worrisome 😐

Sail out on Feb 16th aboard the Allure. These are the things starting to worry me! If this happens to more ships, you could see MANY trickle down delays across numerous ships. Praying for the best however!
