Has anyone heard anything about the 75% refund for the aborted cruise on Journey from Auckland on 9 March? Or about the airfare refund?

I got the 75% refund last week. The airfare refund came about 3 weeks ago, it was the first thing I got.

    I wish you luck.

  2. This is a follow up to my previous post. I just received the refund for my first cruise (Auckland to Sydney - March 9th). I had already received the refund for my second cruise (Sydney to Singapore - March 24th) about 10 days earlier. I have received 100% refund for the second cruise and 75% refund for the first cruise (cancelled mid-cruise) and 50% future cruise credit for the first cruise. Since the first cruise was cancelled around March 17th  (we disembarked March 19th), it took around 60 days to get my refunds. It seems like my first cruise was lost in the shuffle. I don't now that I ever would have gotten a refund without contacting Azamara.

I was very happy with my recent contact with support people in Wichita, Kansas. I have included their phone number below. Maybe they can help some of you getting answers.

  3. Hopefully this post gives people some hope that their money is coming. I received a full refund for our March 24th cruise. This was not just a deposit but a full refund of over $10,000 which I took in place of the 125% cruise credit. I am still waiting for my 75% refund for the March 9th cruise which was cancelled mid-cruise. They told me they are researching why I haven't gotten the March 9th cruise refund yet. I did get the 50% cruise credit for the March 9th cruise but didn't get the money promised yet. At least now I have much more hope of seeing the money......

  4. CEO's step down for one reason and it's not for their employees. What world have you guys been living in? Most CEOs have a large part of their compensation tied to stock options (which are set at a lower than current price when taking the job - the stock goes up they make a lot of money). Larry probably sold his 2019 options in February since they became available at the end of the year (very few executives actually buy and hold the stock). Since the stocks are way down he knows their won't be any value to his 2020 options, so he would be taking a big pay cut if he stays at Azamara.
