Wow , Just heard from our TA and am pleased if not relieved with the options as our cruise was going to 9 European countries /ports. We tried to weigh pros and cons as we chose this cruise specifically for the itenerary , a great experience for our teen before college . Good on Celebrity CL !
Goodbye to that sick nagging feeling of making the wrong choice ( for us) has been replaced with options especiallly trying to our teen's medication sorted out ( in case of delay/quarantine) and dealing with insurance company.
Even airline is making allowances - wow!

How would you know? Not making light of this but I bet someone dies on probably every cruise. It’s not reported.
TRUE - But when you Have CDC and the WHO saying this is not a drill, getting more serious by the day and waking up to yet another cruise ship is quarantined today - it may not be worth it for ( us. )
Unless a miracle happens , I doubt we will cruise as my worst nightmare having my family quarantined, separated, sick on a ship or en route to airport in a different country. As someone posted above - My son has health reasons to consider.
I just wonder with another ship quarantined whether wise decision or not - all of those resources how many of those funds, time and effort could be better used somewhere else? Those elusive testing kits being helicoptered in ....
the cruise community drives the cruise industry and it will take the support of people here when/if enough is enough and people should not have to risk their and well being against missing a cruise versus rescheduling it.
To those intrepid travelers Good Luck and I hope you have a safe , wonderful time.

We are due to go to Europe in April/May maunly because of the itenerary but Europe seems as though much of what we want to do and see may be closed - example the Louvre , Berlin city centers, Italy is already bust - etc...
So I fear we are on a cruise to nowhere as I have learned the the cruise " contract " promises very little in this unique situation . They can sail around in a circle and not one cruiser is expected to grumble much less request a voucher or rebook . Others may want to risk their health, being quarantined in a foreign country , loss of income even serious health issues but we know from the Japan ship that was quarantined - fiasco. As it stands I do not think our family will enjoy this cruise how possible is social distancing on a ship? How will the Saunas and thermal suites be relaxing. We are soul sick knowing our trip that we saved up for may be lost. Again worse case scenario is quarantine due to medication my son has to have and not willing to risk his health of not being able to get it even with extra. I know I will get slammed for my opinion which is a shame as it just that- my opinion.

How can you relax on a cruise when the very nature of the cruise- i.e. Social distancing - defeats comfort and relaxation due to close quarters.
Thermal suites , saunas etc... lose their allure when they are basically petri dishes. The cruise ship in Japan was a Disaster for which travelers are still paying the price, financially or health wise.

"Cruise Care" refunds?
in Celebrity Cruises

For some Reason Celebrity sent a letter saying the FCC is barely 25% of what we paid- now $2,200k when we paid close to 10k and were originally given a letter for FCC for exactly what we paid. Husband hopes it is a typo but I worry .
