That's they way I'm reading it, that no "proctor" is required after Sept 5 for all cruises except the ones that stop in Canada/Bermuda & many Europe stops.

I received this email from Celebrity today. I think it is saying that an observed test will no longer be required on most sailings from the US. Does anyone else interpret it this way?
Starting with September 5th departures: - All travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can cruise with us on sailings departing from U.S. and Europe ports (excluding sailings that visit Canada).
- We will begin accepting self-tests on sailings from U.S. ports that don’t visit Canada and Bermuda, and on many Europe sailings.
-
We’re easing testing protocols for U.S. cruises that don’t visit Canada or Bermuda:
- For sailings 9 nights or less, vaccinated guests will no longer need to test to board one of our ships, where destinations allow; and will have 3 days prior to boarding to test for sailings 10 nights or more.
- Unvaccinated guests ages 5 and older will need to test 3 days prior to boarding U.S. sailings (excluding Canada and Bermuda); and ages 12 and older for select Europe sailings.
- The current testing protocol for cruises to Canada and Bermuda will remain in place until further notice, as well as the requirement that guests age 12 and up be fully vaccinated.
- Some testing protocols in Europe are also easing.

QLS Transportation is the best I've ever used. Clean, polite, great service, huge shuttle vans that look brand new inside. Service always prompt!

If cases are no symptoms why were they tested? Are they randomly testing people on board?

You can use Azova for a telehealth visit. They have about 6 FDA approved tests you can use. I am using the iHealth kits I got from the post office. It's $20 and you can schedule an appointment 24/7. I've spoken to them and chatted online with them. They are very responsive.

And to Tea Bag. I have been on Cruise critic for several years. My account got messed up so I had to start a new one. This was not my first post and was not intentended to be "negative". I was only being honest, which is what I think most people are. This forum is to share honest experiences and knowledge.

We arrived for dinner at 8 and I think we had to wait for a table. The waiter was not sick, he just went off shift "thinking" he was done. There were several other tables dining when we arrived. I think they stop taking tables at 9 so we were well within the time open. Without fail, we always had to wait for a table. The hostess was very snooty as well. This was not our first cruise, we have been on several and 3 years ago spent our 2 week honeymoon on Eclipse. This is by far the worst service we received on the ship. Main dining room was great!

To elaborate on my earlier post about Blu. We went on a 12 night cruise Vancouver to Hawaii last April. The first night in Blu, the waiter went off duty and left us sitting there never having received our entree's. My DH ordered a steak and after sitting there with no main entree for 30 minutes after salads the restaurant was empty except for us. They asked if we needed anything else and we told them we'd like our dinner. They finally went and got what appeared to be a 3 oz. flat steak that came from who knows where. After that we ate at the main dining room and specialty but still Blu a few more times, maybe half the cruise. Everytime the service from Hostess to wait staff was sub par. Sure, they were nice, but for service, I have no words.... Would never go back to this Blu.

We were on Eclipse a couple of times. Last time in Aqua. Worst service I've ever experienced in Blu restaurant. Will NEVER book Aqua on Eclipse again. You're better off just booking a Specialty dinner package.
Self testing okay after September 5.

It says take a picture of the test or bring it with you, yuck! You can do it at home or hotel. Just follow the instructions that come with the test, very simple.
