  1. Hi!  First time RCL customer.  We made our reservation and added the Deluxe drink package.  We have read to watch for sales.  When I go back on the RCL site it shows I have purchased the Deluxe package and displays the price I paid.  Can someone please let me where/how to find if the package price changes?  Thanks!

That's not good, next color ir red which could mean return to port and/or cancel next sailing(s)

Encore was ORANGE once before I believe - transitioned back to GREEN.  It has to stay in a color level for a set amount of time (7 days for ORANGE level).  Can then transition according to the CDC investigation.  It seems NCL has been on top of each incident.  I appreciate the transparency of the reporting by the CDC.  Cases will happen.  How they are handled is what makes the difference.

  3. Encore went from GREEN to YELLOW status today - using data submitted yesterday -  according to the CDC color coding.  This means:

    • Cases reported in 0.10% or more of passengers (e.g., if 6500* passengers on board, CDC’s investigation threshold is met if there are 7 or more cases among passengers occurring during the previous 7 days), or
      • This percentage includes passenger cases occurring within 5 days of disembarkation that CDC was notified of by state or local health departments.
    • One or more cases reported in crew.

Were there any announcements made about positive cases onboard?

  4. Can you explain the transportation/walking trails at Icy Strait?  It looks like you take the gondola from the new port to the location of the old port where they have the museum, a couple places to eat and hiking trails?  You can then take a shuttle to Hoonah or if nice weather is there a hiking path to get to town?  We would like to walk around, see the sites, maybe sit and have a beer near the water... watch for whales.  Any suggestions on places to go, how to get around?  Thanks!

We are on the September 4 sailing of the Encore. We always carry our bags and will need to get from Pier 66 to the Ferry Terminal. Cabs were doing a flat rate of $40 and we're rather frugal. It is about a mile so it seemed walkable - but two years ago it just about killed my wife and I (both seniors). We need a better option this time. Is there any reasonable way to get to the Ferry from the cruise dock?

Hi!  We are also on the Sept 4 sailing.

We are coming in on Amtrak on Sept 3... about .5 mile walk to Marriott our hotel.  According to Bird's suggestion - we plan to check our bags, then get our tests and then wait for our boarding time.  Would be fun to meet up with you somewhere through this process or at the roll call meet and greet.  Have you signed up for that?
