  1. Hello!

I hope someone can provide their opinion on this to know if it is feasible.

I currently have 2 connecting interior Central Park view cabins booked on Wonder of the Seas.  Both are listed as 2S (199 square feet).  One room sleeps 2 people  and I have 2 people (parents) in that room.  The other sleeps up to 4 and I currently have 3 people (high school/college age kids) in that room.  I called and RC told me the the 4 person room has the 2 twin beds and a double sleeper dofa. So another child has now decided on coming on the cruise.  2 siblings obviously don't want to share a double sized pull out sofa so I am trying to figure out how to accomodate this extra sibling.

So I am wondering if I can add the extra sibling to the 4 person room (on the reservation) but have them sleep on the sofa in our room (2 person room).  I assume since the room only sleeps 2, it is not a pull out sofa and I would have to bring sheets and blanket, etc. From pictures it is hard to tell how big the sofa is, but I think it looks long enough to sleep a small adult.

When I look at pictures online, the 4 person and 2 person rooms look the same size (199 square feet), both have sofas (?) but why wouldn't they just make all the rooms sleep 4 people by putting a sleeper sofa in each room?

Am I missing something?  Is there any reason why I can't or shouldn't do this?

    Thank you!!

  2. Hello!  I just found out about shareholder benefits but have question. I did send the question to their email but just got a standard auto email reply.

We booked our cruise (sailing June 2024) in December 2022.  When I go to the shareholder benefits page, it appears you just have to be a shareholder at the time of sailing. But under restrictions it says "Shareholder benefit offer applies to bookings made on or after June 1, 2023."

I don't understand. It appears this program has been in place for a number of years (as I found postings for it in this forum) but if it applies to booking after June 1, 2023, then I don't qualify.  Am I mis-understanding?  How did other people take advantage of this if you had to have booked after June 1, 2023 (that was just 17 days ago!)

  3. Question -  Is the check in time the time you show up at the port?  Or is it the time you actually board the ship?   What time should I leave my hotel (very close to port) if I have an 11:30 check in time?

Also, my cruise is coming up in 2 weeks and if I look at the available boarding times, they have from 11:30-2:30 currently available (I have 11:30am).  What was the earliest time that other people can board?  I thought it was 11:00 am but it looks like there is alot of availability after 11:00 so I am wondering if most people board earlier like 9:00am-11am and we just got our check in time too late?  Thank you!

  4. Thank you for your reply. I am still confused!

    1) So no one can book until they are on the cruise ship. I got a boarding time of 11:30am. Would there still be entertaiment slots open at 11:30am?

    2) I thought I saw in the app that I had tradional dining from 7:30-9:30. Now I don't know where I saw that.  I called Royal Carribean to move up my time and they said I had to call Costco  (who I booked through). I callled them and they said I had tradional dining at 5:00pm and resent my confirmation, but the confirmation says preference (see below). So how can I tell what dining I actually have?

    Special Requests
Dining Preferences: Dining Requests: Traditional 05:00 PM
  5. Thank you both for your replies!  I didn't realize the menus were on the app and have found them.

A couple other questions - It appears I have been assigned to Tradional Dining - which I guess means I have to go stand in line? Is it too late for me to sign up for My Time Dining?  Also, when I look at the different restaurants in the app, it looks like the Windjammer is only for lunch.  Is that correct?  When we sailed before, it was open like all the time (breakfest, lunch, dinner) - you just walked in.

    Thank you everyone!

  6. Hello!

    1) How soon can we book free entertainment shows onboard? Our cruise is 35 days away. The last time we cruised was many years ago and we were able to book months in advace.  I called customer service and they  said we could only  book once we were on the ship however "My Curise Planner" seems to indicate that Harmony of the Seas (which we are sailing on) can book prior to boarding however it isn't letting me.  Does anyone have any insights in this process?

    2) Dining - I did not sign up for My Time Dining. I assumed we would just eat at the Windjammer which from reading recent posts, does not need reservations- we just walk up and eat. Is that a good idea? When we went many  years ago on a different ship it seemed like the same food was searved at Windjammer as My Time Dining (in the dining room), you just got it served by a waiter.  Is this still the case?  I am trying to decide if I should do one or two nights of My Time Dining.

Thank you so much in advance for any comments. 🙂

  7. Hello!  We are going on our second cruise this summer so we are pretty new at this.  I booked  the Brimstone Hill and Fairview Great House shore excursin for us and our 3 older teenagers (as one likes history).   But the length says it is only 3 hours long.  So we have to drive to one location, visit it, drive to another location visit it, and then drive back to the ship - all in 3 hours!  Has any one done this tour before?  Is it any good?  It doesn't seem like you have very long to visit at each place.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!  And if this isn't a good tour, then I'd love to know that as well!

    Thank you !

  8. Hello!  Our cruise is May 2022 and I want to go ahead an buy voom (internet) and book some shore excursions.

    2 Questions -

If I buy voom or shore excursions while I see they are on sale.  And then later there is another sale and it is a better price, does Royal Carribean let you switch to the better price?  Or am I locked in at the original price I bought at?  If that is the case, what is a good price to pay for Voom?  (So if I see it is on sale, I should grab it...)

Also, if you book a shore excursion through Royal Caribbean through the cruise planner and then decide I want to do a different shore excursion (like months before my cruise), can I cancel and get a refund?  I saw on some other messages that you don't get refunds unless the cruise cancels the excursion but does that apply even if you are canceling it months in advance?

    Thank you!
