  1. Definitely go down a day early.  I fly down a day early and take the train back usually.  Train leaves at 12:30 which makes for a no rush morning and I don't hang around the airport all day waiting for my flight.  I will say in July the train became very nasty on our way back and people coming out of the pandemic had forgotten about using headphones with their devices.  Easy and inexpensive way to travel

  2. Great review and even new information! We didn't know about the steps so we will have to opt for that slow elevator and also choose walking shoes over sandals. Luckily, we are doing a private tour so no rush to beat everyone. We are also on Carnival for this one since it didn't require time off for me and we get to see the night life. I don't think we will have a guest lecturer on board since our first and only stop is Cuba but that is a nice touch for Royal I think. I also like what I have read about the Latin flavor of the cruise. Next time.

  3. We recently discovered a transportation service from the beaches to the airport but they will also take to the port. Ralph's Limo has town cars in addition to SUV's, very clean, polite and funny. It is Ralph and his grandson Chris and the number are 727-596-9625. For us to go to the airport from the beach was $50 each way.

  4. We had a private tour with Vaughan Francis because we had seen most of the sights the previous year. we ended up at La Sagesse beach which was stunning and quiet. you can find him at tagrenada dot com. Sunsation tours set us up with him since it was only two of us. Sunsation was also great for beaching and touring. Highly recommend each.

  5. Has anyone taken the jeep tour through RCCL? Oppinions, not a ton of options, but we do wnat to see the island?

Did you do the 4 x 4 tour? We will be there in 2 weeks and thought about this. Thank you in advance for any help.

  6. Since there has been a problem with the lumens in the bays, has anyone done the tour this year to either bay. I know East island was having a problem with something to do with the port authority earlier and they told me to call back this week for mid-December to book with my credit card. I want to know if the bay is back enough to make it worth the 100 plus dollar trip with them.

So glad we booked this cabin after seeing your pictures

  8. The premium package is well worth the money. I won't go again without it. The convenience of ordering whatever you want without mentally adding the charge to your acct put it over the top for us. I ended up drinking more water on this cruise than I have in the past simply because I could. We tried all the martinis almost. I am a wine drinker and would have been disappointed with the classic package. There wasn't a great selection of wines to start with and only one or two of each type (if I remember correctly) that would fit the classic pkg.
