  1. As bluemarble mentions, they offer coach service.  However if they don’t have enough people they will cancel the coach.  They usually know if this is the case a day or two prior to arriving in NYC.  This happened to us once.  (It also happened in September in Southampton when they cancelled our coach to Heathrow airport due to lack of people).  Lastly, a few years ago we took the coach to Newark Airport but due to horrendous lines at US customs it took a long time for people get through.  The bus waited for people but left very late, to the dismay of many who were waiting on the bus and worried that they would miss their flights because of the delays. Given this, we just take a taxi or car service from Brooklyn now.

  2. We were on the same crossing (and are still

on the ship) and there definitely are COVID cases on board.  We saw a nurse in full PPE enter a cabin on our deck. A couple of hours later the people were escorted to the quarantine deck and a cleaning crew in full PPE disinfected the cabin. On the Norway cruise that finished this morning we saw a couple of cabins on our deck that were in isolation. You could tell by all the room service trays and could hear the coughing when on the balcony.

  3. One thing to watch for is if you buy on-board then you can use your on-board credit to pay for it. If you buy pre-cruise through the website then you pay with your credit card in advance. This is applicable if you are on a TA crossing and have lots of on-board credit to use, but no shore excursions to apply it to.

  4. On our last (pre-pandemic) crossing the QM2 shops had watch brands such as Tag Heuer, Cartier and Omega. Is this still the case? Are there any other brands, for either watches or other goods, that are new to the QM2 in 2022?  We are on the TA crossing at the end of this month.

    Thanks!

  5. In August we’re on a back-to-back QM2 cruise: transatlantic NYC to Southampton and then continue on the Norway Fjords cruise. I know we need to have a COVID test to board in NYC, but does anyone know if we will need to get another test done in Southampton?  If so, there isn’t much time between arriving and departing so any advice on where to get a test would be appreciated.
