Do the cruise lines not provide a luggage tag at the port? I am assuming just like airlines, there will be tags for us to use? First time taking a cruise, so please advise.

“Normal” glitch. Test on your departure date (not after the ship has left).
Lol for a moment I freaked out if I was cruising out on 21st and I booked my flights late

MyChart shows my cvs pre boarding tests are booked for 21/22/23rd of December when my cruise is on 22nd. What am I missing? Why do I have test scheduled a day before ?

I assume my 12/22 cruise cant qualify for book with confidence stuff ... right ? there are no travel advisories for US travelers

I think ppl re getting confused with travel insurance vs medical insurance.. shouldn't our existing medical insurance cover the expenses there in case of medical emergencies. Travel insurance is for delays/cancelations or get stranded due to quarantine in Us or otherwise. etc.

That is indeed disappointing. When they mandate kids be vaccinated above the age of 2 to board the cruise and have a negative pre-test, they should provide this service when onboard. I am not sure if there are areas of the cruise kids are not allowed, that will totally ruin the experience and limit our activities. This is our first cruise ever, so the experience of understanding/planning the cruise itself has been mind boggling and now to find that the essential service I was looking forward to is not offered, is very disappointing. I am going on Norwegian Getaway on Dec 22nd with a 7 and 11 year old. Would love to connect with others on this cruise.

It isn’t actually there that they will pay expenses for everyone regardless of insurance status. Anyone who is concerned should call Norwegian for clarification.I did call them on this topic and I got 2 different answers from the agent, each time I called. Is there a travel insurance you recommend that covers covid related delays etc. as well? We travel NCL getaway on Dec 22nd.

Have not seen recent prices, but I was able to get a 12yr scotch for around $3 more, times 2(a double) plus the 20% on the $6.
Also the water on the ship is cleaner then what comes in most water bottles. Let the debate begin!
I can live with $6-10 per drink.. I might have 2-3 per day if I m relaxed and not running around .. looking at all the costs .. ie 100 for water + 100-150 for drinks (this is very low estimate ) + another 100 for other stuff... the premium package of 180*2 might be just about worth it..

You will find that a liter bottle of water would cost you something like $4-$5 per container. (They have JUST water!!!) Glass bottles of Sparkling waters were $5 (back in 2019-2020). And, don't forget every drink bought individually (outside of a package) has the 20% gratuity added.
On an added note: (since you are new to this) Most cruise ports in the USA will have a state mandated tax (approximately 10% added per beverage) on beverage serviced while still within the port area.
(If you prepay for your bottled JUST water, it does NOT have that tax required!)
$5 isn't as bad as I thought but then if I consume atleast 4 bottles for 4 a day .. thats about 20-25 bottles for the trip.i.e.100-125 +tax+gratuity for water ..

I actually saw thought but I wanted to see if I can buy without a "package" for some reason packages ring a bad feeling. I wanted to price it out individually to see where the value is.. ala carte or packages.
Also to preface this .. I m a first time cruiser .. on any cruise line .. so not sure what to expect.

dumb qtn .. but there are some whiskeys I drink on the base premium package that comes with the booking.. are all those included without a charge? I was debating upgrading to plus but wife doesnt drink much and I m a scotch aficionado ..so upgrading alone isn't an option online.. looks like I might have to try once I get on. Or just pay by go which means I won't be losing much in the casino . 😄
Also what are the options for buying water on board? Do they sell like 24-48packs? or is it by bottle ? With 4 of us I would need a 30+pack easily for 5 days.

If we test positive at the pier testing, NCL policy on website states that NCL will cover expenses of quarantine that are not covered by the travel insurance. Does this mean without a travel insurance, there is no coverage from NCL at all?
